Bradley Fewster, released by Middlesbrough, might be worth considering as one of the striker signings.
Described as a "fox in the box", the now 21-year-old, scored 8 goals in 18 starts for a struggling York City side (named L2 Player of the Month for February) during a loan in 15/16 and looked decent.
York manager at the time, Jackie McNamara, said: "He's scored some important goals for us and if we create opportunities for the kid, he will score them. It's as simple as that, he's a great finisher."
He also has 3 goals in 7 apps for England U17, 5 goals in 3 apps for England U18 and 4 goals in 5 apps for the England U19 side.
If Darrell Clarke and Marcus Stewart can unlock some of the potential he has previously showed, he could prove to be a shrewd signing.

Definitely sounds like he could be one for the development side to integrate into the first team.

Was thinking along the same lines. Gashead Wes. Whatever happened to him? Would you have him back?

Wes was a knowledgable guy but problem was every signing we made he was critical, DC should have gone for this player, I would have got this guy in, we won't get promoted with Bodin, Taylor and Sinclair, Mansell was to old and the whole side was going to struggle.
I appreciate he was a scout and had a depth of knowledge and had also recommended players that now play premier league football but his constant negativity got boring in the end.
DC has proven his transfer nouse, and any signings he make we know will have to cut the DC mustard to play for Bristol Rovers, and not the other way around.

Pirate, whilst it's great you do a lot of research into these players, can please I ask you put them in the wishlist thread instead of making a new topic every time? Generally people will look at this thread and think he's been linked to us, when in reality it's more of who you'd like us to sign.

Cheers Pirate, and no worries, I really enjoy reading about the potential players available and you know your stuff, it's just sort of taking up the bulk of threads at the moment.

All clubs get a release list from clubs just before the end of the season and players can play in exit trail games. I know that most EFL league managers attend these matches to view premiership squad players that will be released. I remember DC saying he knew who he wanted before the last transfer window closed and stated if he wasn't able to get them then he would hopefully get them when the season finished. DC is way ahead of us guys.
