Richie Towell signs for Salford from Brighton after rejecting Rotherham where he’s been on loan for two seasons. Great signing for them and I expect a great payrise for Towell! Weird to think Salford City could be a league above us next year. Remember when Rushden and Diamonds were above us?

They now have an AFC Rushden & Diamonds to support back at their natural level in the Southern League.

I spoke briefly to JCH TL and JC at Nutfields Gym in Stoke Gifford this morning. JCH didn't say who his two mates were (since the deals are pending completion of paperwork) and I didn't ask but I guess they are from Coventry (the two we have been linked with but of course it could be JCH mates outside of Coventry). I guess we will find out next week. I certainly hope Bonham returns - I thought he was superb last season, and Edwards who our manager obviously should be a very solid acquisition I hate this time of year... Friend of JCH... spends 30 mins searching through JCH’s twitter to examine whose out of contract amongst the people he follows... Comes back to the same names from Coventry. Time... wasted.

Weird to think Salford City could be a league above us next year. There’s no possibility of Salford reaching the premier league in just one season?! Seriously though, good signing for them and I expect he’ll do well.

Now signed for a 7 figure transfer fee. Peterborough really aren’t messing around this summer.

On paper Peterborough making some great signings so far. Eisa, Pym (free) and Butler (free) to name a few.

Posh always make signings. Whether they are “great” signings remains to be seen. Lots on here mention every year that Posh have done Great business yet in the end they are in the same place as us. Only time will tell if they are great. Doing a lot of business is not the same as doing great business. It may be but not always. UTG!

Fortunately Peterborough are only allowed 11 men on the pitch also.

The voice of reason again wareham Yes, but they probably make a good long-term profit meaning that they will be around long-term, if they have the ambition / desire to go up and stay up, I can't comment on. To June 2018 they made c£500k profit, with £1.5m of transfers...interestingly they filed their accounts only four months after year end. This year they have seen £4.7m in outbound transfers.... so even if they paid £1.5m for Eisa they'll still make a good profit.... better than losing £2m or £3m a year

Typical that City hardly play Eisa yet still make a profit on him

A decent centre back or defensive midfielder available on a free is 18-year-old Max Broughton released by Bolton. He previously captained the England U17 side.

Anyone else heard rumours about us signing Kieran Agard? No. Good, heard it from 2 different people today so was worried it may have some legs. Hope not, would prefer Aneke. Good signing in Mason by the fake dons mind...
