Any managers you think are worth us keeping an eye on, Pirate? 👀 Still think Ben Garner could do a job in the league. Just needs someone to give him a chance.

Probably a good one if things were different but we need someone to change the atmosphere among the fans and encourage the players to Express themselves and not be afraid of making a mistake

Still think Ben Garner could do a job in the league. Just needs someone to give him a chance. Probably a good one if things were different but we need someone to change the atmosphere among the fans and encourage the players to Express themselves and not be afraid of making a mistake Previously speaking of his former coach Garner, Rickie Lambert said: “Ben used to take the training Monday to Thursday at West Brom, all the football stuff. Pulis would come in on Fridays to do tactics. And he was a very expansive coach, who focused on attacking and playing football on the deck. He was very organized, but imaginative, and had a great understanding of players. He’s a real modern coach. Garner’s personal attributes make him a strong candidate for Lambert. He said: "Ben's a very nice fella. Everyone liked him. I think he would get the players on side fairly quickly, and sit everyone down and be open and honest with them. The players at Rovers may not be happy after everything that's happened, but he will be good at that. He’s calm, and will take the pressure off them. Give them confidence. Many could feel appointing somebody with no league experience could go against Garner, but Lambert said: “It depends what the board want to do. If they want a quick fix, or somebody to really build something. Ben can do that, and be there for years to come. Like anything I think its tough for a coach to get their first job, hard to break in. So he just needs an opportunity. He ended by saying: “I do feel for Clarke, but if anyone can get the job done for me its Ben. I would highly recommend him. Just needs the chance.”

I can see the 16-year-old winger or striker Tyger Smalls stepping up soon. Scores plenty for the Histon U18s and has 4 goals already this season for the Haverhill Rovers first team. One we should definitely check out.

Decent player but we need a more creative type. This is how he described himself when signing for P.boro....

It seems strangely quiet on the transfer front from us. Apart from the Josh McPake rumour, there’s been little in the way of tangible transfer rumours. I would like to think we are working on a couple of deals though wouldn’t be surprised if we are still chasing players on the last day like in previous seasons. LW and CAM please TW and GC. Joined Dundee on loan today, so I guess that rumour came and went fairly quickly!

Seems far more sensible to send a 17 year old with no seasons of professional football under their belt somewhere closer in Scotland rather than 400 miles away to Bristol.

And to a club managed by a bloke openly critical of Rangers!

We should keep an eye on 21-year-old winger George Saunders at Hornchurch. Decent potential.

Always liked the look of him when I've seen him on a few occasions. Only 20 and, at the time of posting, it doesn't look like Chesterfield will be making their way back to the EFL anytime soon...

Called up to England C in March, too.
