The 18-year-old Jersey player Sol Solomon is one to keep an eye on. He plays for St Peter FC (3 goals in 2 apps) on the island and also Jersey Bulls (5 goals from 8 starts) who now compete in the English pyramid in the Combined Counties League Div One. He can play on the wing or upfront and apparently spent some time at Millwall during the summer. jerseyeveningpost.com/sport/football/2019/11/04/solomon-leads-way-for-bulls/

Are there any players in particular you are hoping we sign this summer, within reason of course? There are a number of players who have caught my eye that I wouldn't mind seeing play for us... Goalkeepers: Joe Lumley, Connor Ripley, Christian Walton, Joe Wildsmith Left Backs : Sam Habergham, Matt Briggs Centre Backs: Ryan Sweeney, Remie Streete, Michael Turner, Liam Lindsay, Sean Raggett Aaron Pierre Central Midfielders: Brad Potts, Harvey Barnes, Bryn Morris, Rohan Ince, Lee Crooks, Michael Bostwick Wingers: Craig Noone, Corey Whitely, Harry Forrester, Michael Kightly, David Wheeler, Matty Kennedy, Jordan Maguire-Drew, Strikers: Conor McAleny, Bradley Fewster, Chris Maguire, George Hirst, Kyle Lafferty, David Ball, Ivan Toney, Paddy Madden, James Collins Be interesting to see if any of the players we name end up signing for us... Rhys Murphy would be my punt if we can offload either Nichols or Reilly on loan again, could see him linking up well with JCH up top.

Interesting and informative list of names.
However, the last area for strengthening in the immediate future is goalkeeper. We've got two good ones at present and both are more than capable at the his level with the potential of playing at a higher standard.
Player acquisition should, in my opinion, be focused on players who will significantly strengthen the squad. That means players with either Championship potential or extensive Championship pedigree with some gas still left in the tank. Players like Craig spring to mind.
Above all, we need players with the right attitude. Both DC and GC put great store in attitude and the last thing we need is journeyman players seeking one last lucrative contract. Over the years we've seen plenty of them.

Because he has tremendous ability, potential and physical attributes. At the right club and with the right manager he will score goals. If Motherwell dont extend his loan beyond 4th January, Cole could be an option? He’s had a couple of chances in L1 and never taken them. It would be an interesting prospect

It would be an interesting prospect Got a 1 in 3 goals to starts ratio which is pretty decent. I think the potential partnership with JCH could work well, who by the way, had a much worse goal record than Cole before JCH joined us. Sometimes it just clicks with players at certain clubs and the partnership with JCH would be an interesting prospect for me.

I think 1, 2 maybe even 3 are gonna be going out by choice so I’m as interested to see that as I am to see who comes in. I just hope nobody goes out that we don’t want to see leave

Yes he's got a lot of goals this season and I guess Rovers could tempt Yeovil with a small fee and he is local-ish but his age means probably he's at his peak now (for a striker). I'd rather go for a player in his early 20s myself from the same division or L2.

Callum Ferris at Portadown is a name to keep an eye on.
The 18-year-old striker helped Northern Ireland schoolboys win the Centenary Shield last season scoring a couple of goals.
He has represented Northern Ireland U17, U19 (scored a couple of goals during 19/20) and made his debut for the U21s this season.
This season he has scored 5 goals and got an assist in 8 first team games for Portadown.

Hopefully we are keeping an eye on Cirencester Town's 17-year-old striker Levi Irving. He scored 20 goals in the National League U19 Alliance last season and made his first team debut late in the Southern League towards the end of the season. Represented Wiltshire U18s. 5 goals from 6 first-team starts in all competitions so far this season. 2 good goals yesterday:

He was mentioned on here by several posters and myself months (years even) before he joined Plymouth this summer, partly to be with his former manager. I'm not sure why he leave them only a few months later and the time to approach him surely would've been back in the summer.

Looked tidy against us last week - tricky and unpredictable winger but looked like he lacked an end product/decisiveness in the final third (one goal and three assists in 19 L2 games this year...). Either way, as Pirate says, time to get him was the summer gone. Can't see why he'd leave Plymouth in Jan - nor would they sell - especially when they'll likely be in L1 come August anyway.

As far as my January wishlist goes, I think it's probably similar to everyone else - a creative midfielder and another striker (especially if JCH goes). If we could send Ade back and replace him, fine. Likewise, get Bennett's wages off the balance sheet and replace him with a midfielder that can actually contribute and job's a good'un.

Controversial perhaps but I’d also look at getting Kelly off the books if THD recovers from his injury. When our squad is as thin as it is, do we need 3 senior left backs? I would also send Adeboyejo back, get rid of Bennett and look to sell Mensah on permanently during the window. If we want 2-3 signings to help the squad tough decisions will have to be made.

I can't imagine Kelly earns all that much more (if at all) than any in the development squad given he hasn't signed a new deal since joining, to be a part of said dev squad, so doesn't really hamper us financially (pure guesswork here of course). As for THD, class as he can be he is always injured and therefore we do need an extra LB. But I appreciate you're probably just nitpicking holes here in an otherwise very decent promotion-contending squad

I'd be trying to get Callum Roberts in the building asap. Roberts scored an impressive 34 goals and also provided 24 assists from 87 appearances in a wide or attacking midfield role for the Newcastle U23s and has 14 goals from 20 appearances this season at National League North side Blyth Spartans. Only 22-years-old and will get even better.
