The striker Liam Cullen from Swansea would be quality.

Harry McKirdy at Carlisle catching the eye. I wanted us to sign him when he left Aston Villa. The only bright spot in a very poor Carlisle team apparently.

Darlington’s Justin Donawa attracting interest in the National league North before the deadline, one to keep an eye on. Described as having “electric pace”, he’s managed 9 goals from the wing this season, with his club bracing themselves for offers.
Could be another Mensah, could equally be another Taylor.

Most goals from the bench. I wonder why he can't get many starts? Looks very raw. One for the development squad perhaps.

Had some good reports but I haven’t seen him play in person.

Bobby Duncan (Liverpool, loan) Sunderland targeting Duncan on loan from Fiorentina. Quality goalscorer.

Worth keeping an eye on Craig Tanner at Aldershot with a view to a summer transfer perhaps if he maintains good form and fitness.

Jason McCarthy from Millwall? Set to be loaned out apparently and we need a right back. Would be quality. Can also provide cover at centre back if needed. Other right backs for potential loans if possible that I like are Vontae Daley-Campbell (Leicester), Kayne Ramsay (Southampton), Jude Russell (Crystal Palace), Cody Drameh (Fulham), Henry Lawrence (Chelsea) and Cameron Coxe (Cardiff). Kayne Ramsay to Shrewsbury. Excellent right back. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51324661

Is it worth chucking Stockley’s name back into the mix on loan if JCH does go? He hasn’t started a game in the league for Preston since 06th December and not even come off the bench in their last couple of games. They’ve signed Scott Sinclair this window too which may limit his playing time even further. Knows the South West too...

Unlikely though on the last day isn’t it? UTG!

When I mentioned Lloyd Jones, Israel Puerto and Ben Heneghan as potential centre back signings I forgot to mention Dorian Dervite at Bolton. The 29-year-old former France U21 is a left footer, 6ft 3in, good on the ball and commanding in the air. He's only started 7 times in all competitions this season and is out of contract at the end of the season. Would be ideal for us and a very good signing if affordable. Also got the potential for a goal or two in him... One of your old favourites Lloyd Jones has joined Northampton Town on loan from Luton.

Fosu leaving Oxford is going to hit them hard. I recommended him to Rovers before he signed on loan at Fleetwood after a tip-off from my old man. Baptiste ain't too shabby either. Might see them wobble now with a bit of luck.

Might see them wobble now with a bit of luck. Got enough quality with the likes of Nathan Holland and Marcus Browne to compensate for the loss of Fosu and if they can keep George Thorne fit then Baptiste shouldn't shouldn't be missed too much. I saw that Tom Carroll is available on a free following his release from Swansea. That is exactly the style of midfielder we could do with, although he is probably out of reach for a club like Rovers. If someone can keep him fit then they will have an outstanding player, similar situation to Thorne at Oxford.
