Sterling Yateke, a 19-year-old 6ft 3in striker playing in Finland is worth scouting.

Hugo Cuypers, a 21-year-old 6ft 1in striker playing for Ergotelis in the Greek 2nd tier would be worth a closer look. A former Belgium U19 international. Contract ends on 30.06.2019.

Good player. Will do well. I would've liked us to sign both him and Gavin Whyte.

Just saw that you recommended him to me back in September, good shout I've been hearing good things about him. The Just Football website says that Crawley Town have beaten off competition from Port Vale and Grimsby Town to sign Ricardo German. The website claims that Crawley will complete the signing of striker Ricardo German when the transfer window opens on the 1st January. www.onevalefan.co.uk/2018/12/port-vale-miss-out-on-non-league-striker-signing/

A few clubs circling around Dutch striker Van Veen, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were one of them. He certainly fits the bill as a number nine and could score goals at this level. I think he would be an improvement on what we have already. “Northampton striker Kevin van Veen is a target for a number of League One and Dutch clubs before the close of the transfer window, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club. Van Veen only joined Northampton last January from Scunthorpe, but they are facing a battle to keep hold of the Dutchman following their relegation to League Two.” Re-signed by his former club Scunthorpe United.

Funnily enough, I've seen that video before and thought he might be worth scouting and a closer look. Good shout. Other players from the clubs potentially relegated that might be worth considering are Jay O'Shea, George Williams, Chuks Aneke, Ed Upson and Callum Camps. Yeah just one of a couple of players from Eastern Europe that I was having a look at. I'd probably add to that list Andy Cannon, Danny Mayor and Kristian Dennis from L2 strugglers Chesterfield. Andy Cannon has just signed for Portsmouth, seen him a few times and I rate him highly I think he’ll do well there. Wouldn’t be disappointed with Danny Mayor still, scored 5 with 5 assists this year and is probably better than what we have got.

Saw him score at the Mem last year for Rochdale and said at the time he would be good for us. Oh well! Mind you Pompey will have a few players struggling with getting first team football. The position with Pompey is that they should go up but will be making a few signings to cover for injuries and suspensions. Whether they will get play time is different. I guess they see it as a safety net to try and guarantee going up. UTG!

Hopefully mean we have more chance of beating Northampton in the Checkertrade now then

A couple of defensive suggestions for January:
Oldham's 21 year centre back George Edmundson could give us more options in defence, he's been an ever-present in Oldham's backline this season and has attracted interest from Scunthorpe, Wigan, Preston, Fleetwood and Peterborough with Scunthorpe having a 200k bid rejected just recently. Saw him when he was on loan at AFC Flyde a season or two ago and I thought he looked a good prospect back then, 6ft3 too.
“Scunthorpe United have had a bid of around £200,000 turned down by Oldham for their highly rated centre half George Edmundson, Sky Sports News has learned.”
Wigan, Fleetwood, Peterborough and Preston are all interested in the six foot three inch 21-year old central defender, who has played in all 26 of their league games this season.”
Another towering, young defender that could add to us is 23 year old Harrison Mcgahey from Rochdale. He's made over 100 appearances for dale, who rate him highly, recently signed a new contract in the summer. Might be one to look at if we stay up and Rochdale go down but he looks a real prospect for sure. I think there's been some interest in him already this January.

One striker I do like, but may be controversial, is Shawn McCoulsky at C*ty. 6ft, quick, strong and can leap like a salmon. Last season He got 11 goals from 13 starts (22 sub apps) in all competitions for Newport - including goals against Walsall, Southend, Leeds and Swansea's U23s. He got 31 goals during the 16/17 season for a combination of C*ty's U23s, Weston-Super-Mare and Bath City. If he came in with a more experienced option it wouldn't be the worst move in the world. This could be a problem though: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/bristol-city-striker-shawn-mccoulskys-1800724Signed for Forest Green on a two year deal. Have got to say, that's an impressive signing for them. He'll be one to look out for in a couple of years for sure.

I'd love to see Adam Hammill come in on a free as one of the wide options. An exciting player and one I've always rated. Scunthorpe United have signed St Mirren midfielder Adam Hammill on an 18-month contract. Hammill, 30, scored four goals in 13 games during a short spell with the Scottish Premiership side, after leaving Barnsley in May. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46747659

We can wish all we like but two loans is all we are going to get. A couple of 20 year olds with zero first team experience from an U21 set up will be the best we can hope for and will be the final spin of the dice to retain league 1 status. Shameful is the word that comes to mind. 3 or 4 decent loans could make a big impact on this team. Quality from the likes of Elias Sorensen, Stephen Walker, Harry Chapman, Ryan Yates, Danny Loader, Niall Ennis, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Aaron Lewis, Sam Hughes, Cian Harries etc. League One Doncaster Rovers have signed Swansea City defender Aaron Lewis on loan until the end of the season. The 20-year-old right-back, a Wales Under-21 international, is yet to make a senior appearance for the Swans but has featured in the Checkatrade Trophy. www.bbc.com/sport/football/46753906

I don't mean to go all 'Holloway' on you all but the way we do our transfer business is similar to a guy who waits outside a nightclub at 3am looking to pull the drunk birds.

Hate to be negative but with McGahey, Hamill and McMahon, I can't see them finishing below us.
