I know that isn't likely to happen though, I'm not naive. All of the wingers I mentioned can play either side and all of them would improve us. The same for all the other positions too, I'd be happy with any of them.

Think Kelly and THD are ok as our left backs. If we sign wingers, we won't have to play THD out of position. Although his fitness is a worry. With wingers Jakubiak and Reilly might score more, maybe even Nichols lol. So I think one striker would be enough. 2 if we can move Nichols on. GC likes to play a left footed winger on the left, so think we need a left footed winger with him in charge.

Arvin Appiah is a really class act left footer at Nottingham Forest. He's going to be a top player. Josh Bowler at Everton is another good left footer who likes a goal and assist. Bowler goal Markus Mendler is another class act left footer at Saarbrucken in Germany. Playing in the 4th tier, he's represented Germany at all the youth levels up to U20 and has played in the Bundesliga when he was younger (still only 26). Can play left, right or centrally. A free kick specialist too. He's got 5 goals and 8 assists from 22 appearances so far this season and last season got 12 goals and 18 assists from 32 appearances. Mendler freekick

I know that a lot of right footed player's, play on the left. But GC keeps saying he likes to play left footed player's on the left. So with him as manager, playing that way, I think we need a decent left footed winger. Think he's a bit old school. Wants to keep things simple. Not expecting us to play pretty football this season.

I think he's being very short sighted if he's just sticking to the leftie on the left policy. For example, Rodman had the best season of his career last season playing on the left as a right footer and has so far struggled for us on the right.

And will likely go straight to the championship or a team at the sharp end of L1. A Championship team would be foolish to spend over a million quid on him imo. Scoring goals in the championship is very different to scoring goals in the national league. Just look at Doidge, was/is banging in goals at L2 level but struggled in the Championship, would a team spend £1 million for a less accomplished player scoring goals in the division below, bearing in mind he struggled for Colchester? Can see a top end league one team spending roughly £500k for him though.
