Predictably, the Sh1!heads are all over this news on One Turd. They're trying to make the best of it and are busy reassuring each other that it's only been done to ensure a decent sum in compensation when he goes. A young Gashead has apparently mad a Lego model of the Mem, and the club must have put it on Twitter or something. The retards are taking the Mickey out of that as well. It seems to escaped them that such a feat would be beyond most of their adult fans, let alone their kids. I saw that fair play to the young lad that made it it is really good. The irony is the Sh1!heads actual ground now looks like it is made out of Lego.

That's the thing with that lot more worried what were doing nothing changes I'd be more worried what their club is doing. The sooner our new stadium is built the better I say

If Darrell gets another promo for us next 2 years I'll get him a glasto ticket. I shall be seeing a mr wheeler at glasto this weekend. (He's here with a friend of a friend). I will ask the question if I get a chance. I don't expect a honest response.

Chris Wilder - wins lge 2 with cobblers - Leaves Appleton - gains promotion from lge 2, stabilises in lge 1, takes them to Wembley in consecutive seasons - Leaves Paul Cook - Wins Lge 2 with Pompey - Leaves DC - the special one This sets the whole thing in some kind of perspective. DC is special and it's good the owners recognise this. Glad that it has happened, will give everyone a boost and incoming players will have seen the owners confidence. Pretty much the opposite of Oxford who lost a supposedly very good player because he was worried about managerial uncertainty. That he turned down Leeds last year and was prepared to sign a five year contract is a serious sign of intent. Well done the owners and good luck Darrel. UTG!

If Higgs and co were still in charge, we would have lost DC a long time ago. It's not a criticism, it's just they would have been unable to be competitive salary-wise, and would have had their heads turned by compo. Thank goodness Wael can see the big picture and has the money to retain Clarke's services.

Also forgot to mention that conversation also involved a certain Christian Doidge as a possible signing plus he's being tracked by Rotherham as well

Or maybe he's off and he's done this to ensure the club get more money However we would like to see it as only positive, you make a valid point

He's probably got a get out clause me thinks but still good news UTG His agent/advisor will definitely have put in a caveat that if a big club matches a certain valuation then he will be free to talk to them though, when you read and listen to DC and how he holds loyalty so very high in his priorities then I don't see him going anywhere just yet. He obviously been given much better terms and certain assurances. We all know DC is a straight talking guy and he would have made sure he got assurances on budgets and his own pay, before he signed this contract. I view as nothing else but extremely positive news

Presumably David Wheeler, highly-rated Exeter winger, who lives in Bristol.

In other words he is staying despite a potentially difficult task and not getting out while the going is good.

This OTIB thing makes me chuckle, they come up with an acronym to try and make themselves feel all superior and put us down as usual but 'one team in Bristol' doesn't actually do that. Yes they are literally just one team in Bristol but not the only team. If they had made it stand for 'only team in Bristol' then that would have made more sense in terms of what they were trying to achieve. Dense ted tossers!

Please lets not turn this into another stadium thread - too much said about that already. But excellent news about DC - it's always a worry when we clearly have one of the best new managers around who is able to build a team capable if competing at a higher level than most have never played in.
