It seems to me that Wael is going to make funds available for a good go at promotion with 150k already spent on Sercombe and having had a bid turned down for an unknown posh striker and DC has almost certainly been lining up other targets to improve the squad, possibly Lumley & fingers crossed sweeney on loan again. I don't usually bet on rovers out of superstition but I really fancy us to do something next year if we can keep hold of billy bob so is it worth taking sky bet odds of 18/1 (paying four places each way) before it disappears? I'm seriously giving consideration to lumping a fair bit on so thoughts please as to whether it is just me that is thinking like this?

I want to see who we sign before placing my bets. I think this is going to be an even tougher division this season with smaller clubs like Bury splashing out on players like Beckford.

10 new players is a lot. They all have to get on board with the DC way. They will be surrounded by some good hardworking pro's though. If Rovers can achieve 6th or 7th this season they will have done very well.

Also the worry of signing 10 new players is the time it takes them to gel as a team. How many times have we seen other clubs buy 10 or 12 players in only to get relegated where the team under performs

I am waiting to see who we sign first as I can't see it affecting the price much anyway.

By now bookies will, in the main, base their odds on the money placed and their exposure. Signings will affect the money placed (you have stated that) and therefore the odds.

But there's no doubt he's on the downward trajectory of his career and I don't see him as a progressive signing. Don't be fooled by the name and the player he was.

In the 14/15 season he got 20 goals in League One. He has something to prove after his recent lack of playing time and I reckon he's still got the potential to score 15-20 at this level.
