The UWE operation will be shutting down for the summer break soon, so unless it's announced soon we'll hear nothing until September. Blimey, it's a year since someone said almost exactly that on another old UWE thread. Time flies, but some things don't change. Which is a concern as I thought if everything wasn't agreed by August then the deal was off!

Now i’m not one for being negative about my football club.... but i sat down last night and had a good think about our current situation ( i know, i know not a good thing to do !). I see it like this UWE is a ongoing situation which nobody has a clue what is going on. Planning is about to terminate in Jan 2018 and to date nothing is happening with South Glos. Very Little Information coming out of the club... Training ground – we have a £30,000 fence which is not fit for purpose which we still have not paid for it yet. Plans still not on South Glos planning portal. Again very little coming out of the club... DC – Nice new contract for 5 years, but as we all know. If DC wants out he will go or if we sack him he gets 12 months pay. Transfers – Very little movement again and very little info coming out of the club. When was the last time DC gave a media interview ? Now i know this all sounds a little doom and gloom but i thinks its all down to communication and we have had very little of that recently. Come on Wael, we don’t want the whole pie just some crumbs to keep us going ! The silence is deafening!!! I think in the last SH interview he said there would be pre-planning discussions with SGC before the full planning application is made for The Colony. I can't envisage plans being submitted much before the Autumn at the earliest and then how many months after that for full approval? It does seem like a very slow tedious process since they bought the land and put the fence around it. Even June next year is looking optimistic to me for the Training Ground to be functional. The charge (guarantee) against the Mem must be getting fairly close to the buffers - frankly I'm a little bit twitchy about the whole situation.

But they haven't mentioned the post about the fan that was bullied funny that one don't you think Quite clearly our old friend Henbury made that story up in a desperate attempt to cast our Shithead brethren in a bad light. In much the same way as they would never shag their female relatives, burgle their next door neighbour's house when they were out, by-pass the gas and electricity meters, shoplift the local McColls until the shelves were empty, kick opposition fans unconscious outside of North Street pubs. Spit all over their own players, hang heightist banners about their manager from fences and bridges around south Bristol, make false benefit claims, and accept an owner who assiduously dodges paying income tax and thus deprive them of benefit money, yet vote for a Labour government which has promised to tax wealthy people into oblivion. Anything I've missed?

Chill peeps we have a stadium and three quarters of a team . There's going to be some last minute bargains to be had, who are desperate for a game of footy. My mantra is "Xmas shopping is for Xmas eve", usually on the way home from the pub. I mean who doesn't need a good chamois and some turtle wax. Attachment Deleted

I will be sure to pm you with each post to obtain your permission and editorial comment before I publish. as you are obviously an expert on these things, perhaps you could recommend a suitable therapist. Maybe the one that you use would be appropriate?

Yes.... spit at and punch our players and bully a disabled fan out of their the club for starters They're shocked at Stephen Caulkers admission in the guardian about the drinking and gambling issues for him whilst at Bristol City and the fact the club knew Tammy Abraham was driving a car whilst banned and uninsured. When will they wake up there was a drinking culture as far back as when Danny Wilson and Tinnion were managers and a number of players have had treatment for alcoholism since and come out and admitted it. The club is rotten to the core and only held up by SL bankroll which they are constantly attacking now including the fact SL has just sacked their match day announcer. Sad sad shits

I tend to agree with you Henbury. There has been nothing coming from the club during the summer break, and this I find a bit disappointing, as the momentum and success of the last few years needs to be built on. Trying to be positive, with players contracts expiring today, maybe next week is when it will all ramp up? More positivity.....I think for DC to sign a five-year contract, he must have been given assurances that the club will be moving forward. We all know he will not be happy to spend the next three years or so sitting at mid-table level. So, make yourself a nice cup of tea, put your feet up and relax, and wait for the fireworks next week I agree whole heartedly. I do think though that if there is no news by the end of next week I will start to feel as though either we are going to get another one of those 'we tried for our targets' quotes (in which case the top six budget will sit in the same folder as the watertight contracts and the reptiles release fee) or we will have a degree of positive news, but not another ten signings - that ain't going to happen. I am sure faces will start to appear at the friendlies as trialists and I am sure that at least of 25% of DC's desired ten or eleven new faces will follow from this route. I also feel like (hope) we may get some positive news on season long loans next week and that part could be key to DC's trial choices. It is a shame though that clubs attitude to keeping everything highly secretive these days, however necessary, has taken a lot of the enjoyment for fans. We also seem to be very good at it! UTG and here's to those amazing burgers at WSM.

I do think though that if we get the "not prepared to spend silly money " or "we tried but no luck" speeches from either the Chairman who promised exciting signings and " I don't want to stand still and demand a top six budget " DC I will be very very disappointed. We will be in for a relegation scrap for sure having shown the same signing acumen as Scunthorpe and Gillingham. July 11th is my birthday and WSM would haven been a shoe in but with so little news from the club about anything it's difficult to get up for it so looking more like a takeaway with the family than a meet our exciting new squad and a pasty with the beloved Gas.

Oh ye of little faith - have a little confidence and remember what has been achieved during the last couple of years - come August and you will be full of enthusiasm - the club is in different hands who will not raise expectation and false promise - when there is something to shout about you will hear

We will be in for a relegation scrap for sure having shown the same signing acumen as Scunthorpe and Gillingham. Scunthorpe finished 4th last season. They also signed Murray Wallace in 15/16 and after an excellent 16/17 season he cleaned up at the Scunthorpe Player of the Year awards with 3 trophies. He is now rumored to be attracting interest from clubs in higher divisions and could go for millions. They signed midfielder Josh Morris too last summer and he went on to score 20 goals and was named in the PFA Team of the Year. Kevin van Veen signed during January 2015 for about £250k and two years later was the subject of a £4m+ bid from a club in China. I don't think they have done too bad.
