I've been thinking how innovative it would be to play with rush goalies this year. Maybe, if we are strapped for cash, we could use jumpers for goals too. nick day could save the day

It takes a few games for teams to "gel" at the start of the season, maybe some teams are more settled or have their squad in place earlier than us. Taking the first 8 games of each of the last 3 seasons we have taken a total of 31 points from an available 72 (Season 14/15 11points, 15/16 11 points, 16/17 10 points). Despite these below par starts we have had 3 good seasons, just feels that we are a little under prepared whatever the reason is.

Clearly all the new signings trained together at the new training ground. Away from the limelight. Canny fellow, Mr. Clarke.

I assume you don't drive pass the new training ground that often then? Although if they did train there then they'd never be seen from the M5!

Don't forget we can field the same starting line up as last season, so they should gel pretty quickly.

Claridge turning out for Sailsbury at 51. DC and MS might be in the squad for the friendlies against Yate and Melksham :-)

Would rather have it on the official site rather than his personal instagram account. Steve Hood is a w*nker though. He took the p*ss out of me on his twitter for me simply asking him to announce a player. Because a little clique has decided to make his life very difficult. The same sort that sit behind their keyboards and feel happy when they make someone else unhappy. Social media has a lot to answer for. I met Steve and he seems a decent sort but some of our supporters don't half make it hard for him not to retaliate at times. Before someone tweets or posts they should think 1) is it true 2) is it productive and 3) is it kind. Yes, I'm aware of how I was with Higgs but tnat was after sending over 20 unanswered emails and 5 hand written letters. I think people should write exactly as they would if they were face to face with that person but I personally find it sad that some people seem to ALWAYS have to having a pop at someone or they are unhappy themselves. Next time your at the clubhouse, go and introduce yourself to Steve. I think you will change your mind about him.
