The FDs were never participants in the 'real' Board meeting under the old Board who discussed important matters without the FDs being in attendance. And eventually the Higgs Board became a one man band after all. The current owners have appointed individuals to specific jobs who have the authority to make decisions so Board meetings are a rare beast. Effectively the FDs are an irrelevance - I wonder what part they play in the Supporters Club anyway? Perhaps someone on the SC committee can tell us? Jim-----? Apart from WAQ & SH there's only the mysterious Mike Lewis on the main BoD, what specific jobs can just 3 men have been allocated to do? BSS is the laision point between the SC and the BoD, which has always been the case, god knows what KM does.

But what does he actually tell you? Does he appear to know the inner workings of the club but won't divulge? I'm not saying the fans have to know the ins and outs of a cats backside, but if the club heirachy want it like that then one has to question the point/value of the fans director role. Im not disputing BSS is a decent enough chap; I had a long chat with him at Kidderminster (the last time I saw him at a game) but I didn't bother asking any pertinent questions because I knew I would only get a load of political waffle in reply. I suggest you need to attend more games then as BSS attends virtually every home game and most away games within a reasonable traveling distance of his Midlands home. BSS also attends every BoD meeting he's invited to attend, if fans aren't happy with his FD role then that's more down to how the new owners treat the FD role more than BSS. Rather a foolish assumption I'm afraid old chap. I am a Dribuild ST holder and in the last 2 seasons have missed 2 home games as a result of work commitments. I do my best to go away, and with careful work commitment juggling have managed 10 away games in each of the Last 2 seasons. I have never seen BSS at any of those matches. Im not suggesting he was never there, or think I'm so special he should seek me out. I would have nothing to say to him anyway as I don't believe he knows much more than the average fan. I have seen Wael and SH far more at away games, and they are always friendly and approachable. I have no problem with the FD's per se. I'm sure they don't do any harm, but like the appendix don't seem to serve any useful purpose. ive noticed you're getting a llittle personal in your criticism of my posts. Time to remind yourself of the "Attack, the post not the poster" maxim. PS you haven't sent details of your therapist.

It's just a music forum now anyways. Yep , it was mildly amusing to start with but this is a Rovers forum and having to skip through pages of pointless song title posts is ruining it. Just my opinion..... Cue lots of witty song titles replies. Yawn. It just kills threads, so really just a form of trolling.

We now have a managing director (SH) who has authority, and the staff employed all have responsibility which they didn't have effectively before - ask them about their new freedoms. The Club is in good hands and the staff who have been held back by the old BOD for years are doing a good job. A BOD should only be there for direction and advice which currently is our BOD I am sure Jim will tell you what the FDs do and are for.

Jim is the Chair of the SC so should know what the FDs do and are for - but if you prefer to talk to BSS that is up to you - as this thread shows there seems to be some confusion as to what part they play on behalf of the SC

to be honest, if you have an issue you'd like to take up with Brian he really isn't hard to find and is willing to listen....
I only really do general rovers chat with the bloke, but he's always on the lookout for comments about matchday issues....
so fair play to him
