I thought the original Severside stadium plans hit the dust as there were concerns any chemical incident at the docks would endanger supporters lives at the stadium, have the docks changed so much that's no longer a danger? There's always ways and means of getting around things like that. When The Falkirk Stadium was first built it was stipulated that it would only have two stands as the far South East corner would be in the blast zone of Grangemouth refinery, but when Falkirk got promoted, surprise surprise they built a third stand and installed a temporary stand similar to the south stand at the mem down the fourth side.

This is getting confusing are we still on the Avonmouth Stadium rumour or back on the City thing? No, it's gotten embarrassing. Having read a few pages on their forum that's the only sensation I can feel. As to Avonmouth, no ta.

In fact, it's how many businesses get publicity, whether that is good or bad publicity is neither here nor there.
That's where your wrong so if HG has his premises vandalised or violently attacked through a wanna be vigilante fans, what happens who takes the responsibility?
HB for his post which was only hear say OTIB forum for disclosing his personal details
OTIB forum would have take responsibility for allowing the disclosure of HG personal details and work details in a public forum, as a moderator and admin you have a duty to protect certain information being posted and remove such posts if they are posted which in this case they clearly haven't. Until those details were posted HG was an anonymous forum user just like the rest of us was he not ? But by posting them and allowing them to stay you have put HG at risk from possible attacks You may think this is an over reacted response but if you scroll through the various comments, there are a couple comments on there that could be deemed as threatening and suggestive that certain action vigilante action should be taken out against HG for his post. I've highlighted those comments

Oh dear. Now is just too easy to pop into his shop and "have a word" this comment could be classed as a threat so that could be classed as incriminating BAR BS3
cidercity cidercity Members 43 932 posts Location: just south of the river ID: 21681 Posted 1 hour ago I think this complete lie has been going on too long now, the club(Adam) needs to put a bit of pressure on the blue few to speak to their forum mods (I know its independent) to shut this muppet up, unless he can come up with the evidence to support his claim. Seeing as he is a serial lire I can't see that happening.
i am watered right off that some idiot sag can make something up and we have to defend ourselves, he needs to be silenced. And this comment could be classed as threat plus it was posted after BAR BS3 comment so that could incriminate you cidercity 1 person likes this
I'm sure common sense will proceed and allow HG his privacy as he didn't disclose any names in his original post.
Whilst It may seem I'm defending HG I'm not, the sad fact is both clubs have a small minority of fans that can and will take matters into there own hands and I can only foresee this escalating into something more than it is and its publicity neither club wants. Whilst I've named BAR BS3 and Cidercity in this post for their comments made I'm sure both are decent enough fans but if you stand back and look at things from different perspective you can see how those comments would or could be perceived that's why they were highlighted.
GAS MODS PLEASE ALLOW THIS POST TO REMAIN

Sorry, but blaming the OITB moderating team is a complete cop out.
Like us, they do this stuff in their free time. I don't read every single post on this forum any more (though I used to). Sometimes posts get missed, overlooked or subtle things just don't get picked up on.
What gets posted on here is not our responsibility, ultimately that lies with the poster themselves.
It's high time people grew up and took responsibility for themselves without a nanny state or someone else to protect and take the blame for them.
If some goes to Henburys shop, it's their fault.
It's not the fault of someone who posted it as a suggestion on a forum and certainly not because a moderator didn't spot a couple of posts in a sea of many.
Again, I would suggest we all calm down a little. Most of us know, work with, are friends with and even related to Bristol Sport fans. Regardless of which side you are on this is all a bit pathetic.

More nonsense for OTIB to take the water .... this guy has more tripe than a Butchers!! Don't worry about them. No matter what we do it appears on there. DCs contract, headbutting buses, any news at all is gathered by them. We aren't their rivals though ok.

There is a very large estate in Avonmouth with no buildings or - well, anything really - and, some of that land has recently been sold off (about a week ago) to an unknown company, unknown since it hasn't been revealed to the public. Well, the land that has been cornered off, I'd say, is about the size of the Mem (carpark inc.). Now, I live in Avonmouth & there is a rumour going round literally the entire village that Wael has stopped talks with UWE & are looking in to a plan b.
What I can confirm: Land has been sold & cornered off. The land has a pretty good motorway link. No trains/busses. Busy road linking Avonmouth & Severn Beach next to it. There is an abandoned laser tag place around the corner. 30 minute drive from the Mem. Good link with the portway.
This has been a wide-scale rumour here in Avonmouth, but a rumour all the same.
I live in Lawrence Weston/Avonmouth, I work in Avonmouth, this is the first I've heard of it. There is a train station in Avonmouth, busses do cover Avonmouth, 18 & 18a and the number 3.

LOL if this happens it would be a better, purpose built ground closer to the motorway. We get 99% of functions and concerts, guaranteed.
Screw UWE, I don't care, I feel UWE will be a bit municipal with the running track etc.
Would love either but repurchasing IKEA land would be the dream ticket. With huge 8 story underground complex with old stands recreated with modern safety standards, and the stupid flower beds and terrace which isn't 300 years from the pitch changed. Or a composite of Twerton popular stand with Dribuild and Eastville. With a death camp for teds in the basement.

There are as many pubs in Avonmouth as the UWE area (from what I recall when I worked in the area), admittedly transport links are similar. As for the comment about building a hotel on the site, Cruise Liners embark and disembark (is that a correct term all you Navy types?) in the Port of Avonmouth so might not be a bad idea. It is also actually located in the City of Bristol, whereas UWE is South Gloucestershire. I think it is a bit of a trip, but wouldn't be the end of the world. Just build the stadium as planned on another site, probably less excavation.

I thought the original Severside stadium plans hit the dust as there were concerns any chemical incident at the docks would endanger supporters lives at the stadium, have the docks changed so much that's no longer a danger? Perhaps this is all a cunning plan by Wael to force the UWE's hand at the death, he joins the forum as "thegasfc" then starts a load of random threads about players we should sign etc to cover his true identify, then suggests the club have found a plot of cheaper land at Avonmouth, I sense the UWE will have dropped their asking price by a few million by lunch time tomorrow Changed times at Avonmouth now, only one chemical works left, the former ICI works now under new ownership. Philblacks, Albemarle, Rhodia etc now long gone and sites cleared. Exactly the genuinely "dangerous" chemical sites are now all gone & it is fast developing as a logistics centre with many retailers having their distributon depots there due to excellent Motorway links.

Lots of new buildings and BIG warehouses. Happy we don't that old smelly chemical works hissing away as you went by it

All ties in nicely with Wael saying 'stay tuned'.
Can see us running out in the mouth for the 18/19 season for sure.
