Care to elaborate where this site is 10 mins walk away from Park and Ride. That distance at a stretch covers a) the disused land under the motorway bridges; b) the old GKN factory by the motorway on Avonmouth Road the sign there says 19 acres which I think is too small; c) at a fair clip the old chocolate factory on Glos Rd; d) the Scrubland land between railway line and the docks; e) or some land I don't know about in the controlled area of the docks And none of those sites are on the main road between Avonmouth and Severn Beach Really interested in what site it is or more likely isnt A plot of land near the new proposed motorway junction  to be built in the next 5 years ? Over a 1000 acre land available for development As I stated on here a few months ago. That's. not to say it will happen. No chance of any site near the "village".

Why would we be looking at Avonmouth when we are about to announce the UWE?

Why would we be looking at Avonmouth when we are about to announce the UWE? New stadiums are like goal keepers and buses.

When the new owners took over they already knew we had planning permission to build the UWE so why risk getting planning permission turned down for another site doesn't make logical sense. Have faith in the UWE makes more sense to proceed with something that's already been approved as Gasheads were all to impatient all good things come to those who wait hasn't the 2 goalkeeper signings proved that

Splashing out on two decent goalies today does give you hope we do have money.

Splashing out on two decent goalies today does give you hope we do have money. I'm guessing its a case of soon Wael wants a return on his investment with our current stadium he's limited by means of the grounds overall capacity and its available facilities or in the mems case the lack of them. Does he really want to add another 5 years of waiting on to that time by having to apply for planning permission its like starting from scratch again

It's fairly likely that getting permission for a stadium on a brownfield site, with potential to allow regeneration to occur will be straight forward. There would just be the usual technical details on transportation/parking etc.
Back of a fag packet calc says the Mem footprint could accomodate residential builds worth £50+m [much higher rtn possible], so the land is highly saleable to housing developers. A brownfield site [im guessing the area adjacent to Boundary Road] could be snapped up for a very small amount.
If UWE's demands for the freehold cant or wont be met, then perhaps this is the alternative?
