Only last week in DC's interview he said not to be too concerned if it looked like there was not a lot happening, because there's a lot going on behind the scenes, I for one still believe this to be the case, I would've preferred a couple more in the building already but I'm sure DC knows what he's doing. As for his budget, he seemed happy enough with what he's got to spend and also being able to keep a bit back for January as he does like to do, I'm sure he'd be letting people know if he thought he was lied to or wasn't getting what he thought. In summary, still happy and trustful of DC to get it right, if there's still no more signings in another 2 weeks then I will start getting a bit concerned. Until deals are agreed/announced it doesn't really matter what's going on behind the scenes as all the deals could still fall though. The fact SH/DC both said initially we needed 10 players but have signed just 1 outfield players is just plain odd. As things stand the Portugal trip seems a bit pointless as a bonding exercise.

True and if DC had to stay here to push through the transfers I would rather he dis that.. thought admittedly it would be bad to not have the manager go on tour. Why does everything seem to be out of control when supporting the gas.

I'm getting nervous. OK, we all know that sometimes a club will wait to get a replacement before they'll let someone leave, and sometimes one signing somewhere can set off a chain reaction of transfers......but the lack of signings is, um, unsettling, especially as we are crying out for two strikers.

But equally all the work that is going on behind the scenes could be ongoing contract negotiations or haggling over prices so to say that doesn't matter seems a bit strange, surely it matters more what is going on behind the scenes, or would you rather they discussed every deal that we are trying to put together in public? And to say that DC and Sh said we need to sign 10 players and then only include 1 outfield player and not the other two signings we've made in the 10 is again, odd, do 'keepers signings not count like penalties? Surely we've signed 3 out of the 10?

Just been reading an article about Charlton and their business. 'Charlton Athletic manager Karl Robinson wants to sign three more players - and quickly., 'Following the 3-2 defeat to Limerick in Ireland, Robinson said he is keen to integrate the players into his squad in the short term so he can get them settled.' Speaking to the club's website, he said: "We need to start signing those players in certain positions, that's obvious, and once we do that, we get those players back in, get more minutes under the belt, we'll be ready. "We're a third of the way through pre-season now. The first hurdle is pre-season, then it's developing the tactical and technical and then the mentality will come in the final weeks about what it means to win." m.kentlive.news/charlton-athletic-boss-karl-robinson-wants-three-new-signings-in-quickly/story-30436093-detail/story.html

According to soccerbase they have only signed 3 players having released 2.
