You said "Or maybe he can't take being questioned?" and "It is ok for him to question DC's every move but when the boot is on the other foot..." That's clearly attacking the poster. It's attacking his posts. I haven't called him names or anything like that. Stevek talks a lot of sense on here but his over negativity lets him down. Surely thats how some on here feel about over positivity. There is much to be gained from balance and from listening to people with a different view point to your own.

I can feel that about over positivity but it is better to be too positve than too negative. Something I have definitely realised over time.

Got to be honest, listening to him explaining all the things DC should have done when we don't win makes me want to poke out my eyes.
Fair play for writing it up but it always stems from a huge "I told you so, DC" angle and is flagrantly big headed about his managerial nous, it's always some stupid sheet like "the back 4 needed to push-up" or "we need to play wingers". Basically, whatever we did, if we lose, Steve says we should have done the opposite and thus the reigning champion of 187 correct tactical decisions reigns supreme.
With a modicum more humility, they would be good reports, but they are painful to read and annoying at times, the criticism is predictable - play Harrison, should have played Gaffney. Played 433, should have played 442z. The only time no criticism is on a 3-0 win, on which case he agrees with DC.
Sorry Steve but if you dish out the criticism, and boy you do, here is the rebuttal.

I like his match reports in general but the bloke has threw his toys out of the pram here! I wonder why. Maybe the bullies have got to him like they have to a number of posters who have disappeared from here People, men, are turning into complete and utter wimps. Why can't people take criticism? I take loads and relish in it!

I was attacking Stevek's posts not calling him a belter. You said "Or maybe he can't take being questioned?" and "It is ok for him to question DC's every move but when the boot is on the other foot..." That's clearly attacking the poster. I didn't know you were a mod Antonio! This place is going to be a safe space in no time. If you can't say "you can give it out, but not take it back" this forum is going to be really, really fun, especially for me.

Can't say I blame you Steve. This forum is slowly but surely degenerating to the level of the other one, and it's very sad. Like Steve, I go to all the games, and whilst I don't always agree with his opinion on certain aspects of the game and individuals, I certainly agree that DC has made far to many changes for seemingly spurious reasons.
This in itself seems to be the catalyst for some on here to have a go at Steve.. Going to away games regularly, I sometimes feel we are playing like a relegation threatened team, as last seasons results showed. However, there is no need for some of the vitriol on here.
Like you Steve I post less now because it's just not worth the effort. You tell the truth as you see it, just as I do, Don't blame you at all buddy.

I'm always uncomfortable with these threads just with someone's username as the thread title. It all seems a bit pointed whether or not the contributors intend it that way.
Perhaps torpedo this and let it sink without trace.

This place is indeed becoming like the OF, not because of bullies but of passive aggressive cliques who accuse anyone who doesn't hold hands clapping under a rainbow singing Kum by yah and handing each other bouquets is accused of "bullying". Their drivel is a-ok, it's been evident over the summer - the forum needs to be run their way and naughty boys get criticised....silky funny stuff is downed in favour of "quality content" and all the things I like about forums - random detours, silly diversions, jokes, are being slowly phased out. Put the egos down, posters are what made this place the place it is, not boring, repetitive drivel or the need for the forum to be run properly "not on my watch" I'm increasingly getting bored and while this will please some, if it keeps going to be a vanity project and public relations exercise for club gaschat, all the good posters will stop and you'll be left with the OF. Always happens with forums, another is started to get away from it and it becomes a little clique again, human nature but anti-discourse and in contradiction of what makes a forum a forum.

gregorystevens, I thought with some of your views you had already poked both your eyes out!!!-Joke before you get6 all heated up. The reasons I am giving up the Match reports is not in any shape or form down to criticism or any disagreement with anybody purely down to other hobbies taking up more of my time and something had to give. I have never ducked the criticism on here as that is what a forum is all about-opinions. for me DC's teams generally lack pace and far too many changes for changes sake. However his results and where he has taken the team in a short time is brilliant. Long may it continue.

I was merely pointing out that GGMI was doing it, while saying not to do it. He was the one implying it wasn't allowed. I think it's pretty well established that a low-level hum of abuse is normal here.

Let's just hope he's gets bored with his hobbies and is back doing match reports soon, particularly the away games a lot of us can't make for one reason and another and so enjoy his reports.

Big loss to the forum ... One of the better post match reads and its personal opinion if you agree or disagree.
Sadly those who think they run the forum ( Not the moderators i hasten to add) win again ! One day it will be just the handful of you bickering amongst yourselves, oh and posting tripe about a new stadium!!

It is my intention to observe the rules of this forum while in a work situation. Apparently, standing in the office the other day, finally losing the will to live and fed up of spoon feeding adults on simple tasks and then being ignored anyway, and calling them all fcking idiots who would have paid more attention if I'd simply drawn a picture of a cat, is NOT how modern management in a modern law enforcement environment works. I shall learn from this forum.

Thanks for the reports stevek192, I don't read the post, and they have invaluable as my info source on games I haven't attended. Enjoy the extra time post match.
