Pitch looked great, rovers played some good football, west brom looked a bit sluggish. both keepers did well, young broadbent had a fine game. young players meyanese, broom and bola did well 2nd half. lucky goal by ellis, good goal by nichols from a fine gaffney pass. 3,300 i think at match He did what all good strikers do went looking for someone to make a mistake they did he pounced good goal If that had been Taylor or gaffney you would have had a different viewpoint It was not intended as a dig at ellis. Lee brown played a lovely diagonal pass in behind the left side of the wba defence and ellis got in behind his marker,a covering defender just got to the ball before ellis but blasted it straight at his legs and it flew in the net. Maybe it would have been better to have put there was an element of luck in the 1st goal?

So sick of those with no grace to give the player a break and just celebrate a goal

WBA fielded a very strong side, I estimate that there was about £100 million of talent on view. I thought we accredited ourselves very well. Lots of movement from our midfield, I liked all of the new signings, yes some are still a bit raw but the signs show that DC has done well signing young players. The goals, yes Ellis's goal had an element of luck but that does not to take anything away from it, Nichols goal was very, dare I say it, very Tayloresk, sublime pass from Gaffers split their defence, latched onto by Nichols on the edge of the area, and calmly smashed the ball past the keeper. The pastys are still crap

I thought it was an excellent finish and 10/10 for creating the situation.

AF suggest he was watching from the dribuild? Anyone see him? No, but I did see Jermaine Easter watching the game, spoke briefly, wished him all the best.

At lunch time we bought 2 steak and 1 cheese & onion pasty from the food shop. Now it may have been the fact that we were sitting on a wall in the warm sunshine, looking out to sea with the rugged granite coastline curving away around us, but those pasties were, without doubt, the most delicious ever tasted. Even Mrs OG, she who leaves no shadow, was moved to say how much she enjoyed her cheese & onion! I think the steak pasties-with actual and recognisable chunks of steak contained within, were £3.50p, the veggie one was £3.00p. They were also a decent size. If I were in charge of food at the Mem I would be in touch with the bakery and arranging a delivery of X number of pasties every Friday during the season, with an extra delivery to cater for the occasional evening game. Come on Rovers, it can't be that difficult!

He didn't finish the ball hit him and rebounded in, if you asked Ellis he would say the same. A goal is a goal and he did well battling the defender but it was a fortunate finish as everyone by me said at the time.

To paraphrase Napoleon, 'I'd rather have a general who gets the ball blasted at him, and then it comes off his knee and trickles into the net, than a good general.'

He has and i'm happy when it happens, but he had no control where the ball was going, so to me it's a fortunate finish. Hope he gets 20 like it this season mind.

Hopefully the 300 or so WBA fans enjoyed a drink before/after the game and were left in peace by the Gas faithful
Unlike the FC Twente fans who were assaulted after their game against The Sh1t the other evening. It has a thread on One Turd. At first the Sh1!heads were blaming the story as a pack of lies put about by by Gasheads. Eventually a female cop who seems to be their Liason officer, obviously she has no sense of smell, went on there to confirm a Dutch fan had been assaulted by a Bristolian. No doubt it was a Rovers fan, looking to give The Sh1t a bad name.
So, we have a number of recent incidents where the angelic hordes have shown their true colours. Who can forget that hilarious video clip of a group of Neanderthals threatening some Geordies from behind the safety of a line of Coppers? Then there was the incident where some Wolves fans literally got their heads kicked in in North Street after the game. I believe there were 17 Twente fans at Trashton last week, City fans are dead 'are, aren't they?

But he had to be in the right position for the ball to hit him no luck in that whatsoever it was a strikers instinct
