NH background was construction surely he'd know how to get us a stadium built w/o any hitches As far as Wael I wonder if the family were happy to see him leave the bank so he could stay out of trouble just running a small football club in far away Bristol? It is funny how you talk about Wael as if he's a troubled teenager who's always up to no good, so the family made him get a job in the pub so he's not in the streets I know a LOT of rich families and this sort of scenario is quite common. Not saying that's whats happening here though

Enormous amounts of speculation about Wael, the family and who pulls the purse strings. The synopsis seems to be that Wael is the family idiot, and that big brother is the brains behind the family fortune. That Wael can't be trusted, and that big brother won't fund anything. Well if that's the case, why buy the football club, a club in the conference. When did they think it would be self funding? Have they been taken by surprise that clubs cost money? Who looked over the UWE contract? Who made the 'mistakes'? You can't have it both ways, either big brother is a business genius, in which case they know what they got themselves into, or he isn't, this is a massive shock, in which case how have they ever made any money???

A club in the Conference? You do realise most of what is posted on here is satire? However, it's odd Wael's, the only family member seemingly really interested in football, had two supposed experts looking into the deal with the UWE, one who oversaw the Wembley project no less until he was dismissed, but they both disappeared when Hani appeared, at which time rumors then broke the UWE wanted millions more than we could afford, now we find the ALQ's have pulled the plug on the whole project.

Topper, if it was satire, I wouldn't mind. But it's not, it's half baked thoughts and summation paraded as fact.

Really good thread created by the op. The club have brought players in and made worthwhile improvements at the mem. 8 new players and showing the manager how highly they regard him with his contract is no bad thing. He could have included all the new coaching appointments and the signing of development players like rollin meyanese who looks like a good prospect.

Is this some sort of wind up Only to the bitter who just fail to see the positives that has actually been brought to the club in the short time they have been in ownership. You cannot disagree that we are in a better place on the field than we have ever been. Which is where it is most important. Better on the field yes due to a good manager, and you can see what's happening, off the field who knows? Many things can be hidden. Time will tell....

Can something be done to the toilet cabin at the back of the family enclosure. It's a bit boring having the smell of water wafting over to the Thatcher's end all the time.

We might not be getting a new stadium anytime soon, but can any other league club boast 2 (count them 2) brands of cheese and onion crisps available at their ground?
No, I thought not!
Now that's progress. Go add that to your list OP!

Responding to the thread title - no faith to repay at the moment.
The hope and optimism I had 18 months ago has been seriously dented over the last few days and my confidence in the AQ's is not what is was. Hopefully if some serious money is being seen to be spent and committed developing The Colony over the coming months - and we're talking millions - not drip feeding the odd £100k here and there, (from the charge guarantee) it will go someway to rebuilding the trust I had.
This trust has also been damaged by the mouthpiece of our owners who doesn't instil, (for me anyway) any confidence at all.

I'd sooner we didn't waste anymore (big) money at The Colony until the stadium is sorted out, the way things are going we'll just become a brilliant Academy side for a bigger club.
