Should we have let one of them go and which one? I believe DC has in a way bottled it by keeping them both. Obviously it depends on their wages etc as well but neither appear good enough going forward.
Gaffney is definitely the better of the 2 at this stage. (More consistent) but Ellis has more potential. But how long can we keep saying this for? When is Ellis going to come of age.
The fact many of us say we still need a CF says it all as they are both CF's so we shouldn't need a 3rd.
This is a make or break season with Ellis for me.

Need to have a decent bench where they can be used to transform the game, Saturday we had Broadbent supporting the attack.

Especially as we sometimes only play with one up top. I would like us to sign another target man i.e Lambert but that is only because I don't have enough faith in the two we have.

To be fair, Broadbent only came forward with the ball because Charlton were standing off so much

Give Gaffney another year to see what he can do. But get rid of Harrison. He's had so many chances and he still hasn't learned how to play in his position.

Another thread regarding Ellis and Gaffers.
Ellis has apparently had potential for years and the only time he showed it was in the conference. He will never be as good as people seem to think.

How about a bit of positivity about our players, we've had one league away game where all the attacking players were poor for some reason, so it seems a bit harsh to start writing players off certain players after just one game. Let's at least give them the two upcoming home games.
Anyway I doubt there's any money left to sign another striker so we may as well get behind the strikers we've now got, or otherwise it's going to be a long old season.

Questioning a player on here does not equal not getting behind them at a game.

I'd rather keep Adam Cunnington over Ellis, i hope this answers the question.

I prefer Ellis when he's used as an impact sub - that's usually when we see the best of him.
I wouldn't imagine either of them are on big wages, so I think it was right to keep them as part of the squad.

Oh for the youth and body of Ellis and the head of Easter - what a player that would be Scott Sinclair? How much of that top 6 budget is left? I wonder where Lambert will eventually end up, signing him before Saturday's match would be the perfect move to take the pressure off the ALQ's or for Ellis or Gaffers to come good tomorrow night.

This comes down to the bottles imo. The Volvic bottle is easier to handle, you know what you're getting, the buxton bottle has a strange shape and can be unpredictable and spill a lot. Gaffers is the volvic
