Agreed Darrell tactics and decisions yesterday were awful and I honestly don't think we have the money to bring in top players That can't be right, Mr Hamer assured us we have a top 6 budget. Mwahahaha.Needs one more "ha".

I've just seen the goals for the first time. If we have a top 6 budget, id hate to see what a bottom 6 budget would look like. Just saw the bench for Wigan, most of their subs would walk into our team. This summer was the perfect opportunity to strengthen the side and kick on again. Numerous players out of contract/released and talk of a top six budget. With supposedly wealthy/ambitious owners and £600k banked from the Taylor transfer/Chelsea match last season I expected a lot more than what we've got if I'm honest. I said when we signed Hartley that we should have signed his Plymouth teammate Nelson, now Oxford are talking about not letting him leave for less than 3 million! You do wonder if we have any scouts at all here or just rely purely on agents and other contacts

I know we now have Brian Dutton supposedly doing a bit of scouting, but he was playing last season so couldn't have been travelling up and down the country watching games on a Saturday. I've thought for years we need to improve in the scouting department, DC has said the same himself in the past. I don't even have a clue who our chief scout is, or if we even have one.

Even Exeter put us in the shade when it comes to bringing through players and selling them on for big money. Scouting is something which should be near the top of the important staff list, rather than tens of medical staff.

That can't be right, Mr Hamer assured us we have a top 6 budget. Mwahahaha. Just saw the bench for Wigan, most of their subs would walk into our team. Didn't realise Alex Bruce had signed for Bury. Looks like their budget is much bigger than ours, how that can happen on crowds of 3,800 is anyone's guess. They probably have 2 or 3 subs that would get in our side too, let alone Wigan's subs.

Yeah how Bury are working that around the FFP god only knows. I cant believe Nick Powell is playing in L1, far too good for this league.

I'll never forget his performance against us under Buckle, he ripped us to pieces that day.

We're just not good enough you can't keep blaming Ellis or brown etc the manager must take responsibility the recruitment Been poor and the way he keeps changing formation confuses players and fans. We need at least 6 new players in and could easily ship out 4 on loan or permanent Agreed Darrell tactics and decisions yesterday were awful and I honestly don't think we have the money to bring in top players Well if we have a top 6 budget why isn't DC spending it then surely he would if it was true. Anyone would looking at our side there's nothing going forward and very limited depth

Anyone would looking at our side there's nothing going forward and very limited depth DC has a budget that he feels he is capable of achieving a top 6 spot with. That is different to having a top 6 budget. Thats not saying he isn't going to get more signings in. I think his plan is always see how we go until Christmas & reassess then.

Hamer- “In his own words he believes his budget is a top six budget." DC Previously - "I know what my budget is, I know we're not near the big spenders in this league"

Credit to Peterborough yesterday, they play well, fit side that defended from the front pressed us high up the pitch and severely restricted any opportunities/attempts to play out from the back. I was hoping they would run out of steam as the game went on but while there was a slight lull early second half, they were back at it after their second went in. Tactically astute, fit and well conditioned. Not many teams will be able to play like that, but we have to find a way to combat that kind of pressing game better. Our care of the ball when in possession was well under par, with far to many poor touches and choice of passes. We gave the ball away to cheap and allowed their pressing game to pay dividends. Once we were two down we had to throw caution and that was going to either get us back into the game or conceded more. I think DC needs to be less loyal to certain players, pick the players to play a system in a balanced way with round pegs in round holes. That would be a start. On to the next game.

DC Previously - "I know what my budget is, I know we're not near the big spenders in this league" Surely that was meant as the performances so far have been miles away, of which he would be correct. DC aims high and would not be happy if we weren't to challenge for the top 6. We can have a good budget and also not be near the big spenders. Can't remember which one, but read one of the relegated clubs have a bigger budget this season than they did last season.

Crikey. I realise footie fans are quite reactionary, but this is ridiculous. We are 2 games in, that's it, I don't think any judgement can be made on a team for 6 games. I guess this is the new world of social media, over the top about everything in 5 secs in.
