Any dissemination of the information you are posting or just quoting other people's thoughts? The idea is plainly to post the supposedly more extreme and out of context anti-white statements into scaring white people into thinking they are at risk, in order to achieve some sort of pro-white, or anti-minority reaction. What pirate doesn't get is that extremists on both sides are two sides of the same coin, and rely on each other and feed off each other. Their enemy is the moderate and the reasonable.

In the hypothetical scenario you imagined, where your neighbour was "of colour" (which is a ridiculous way of putting it btw), I suggested that if you had a problem with someone and they were of another race/creed/nationality or so on - it was be your problem. Not his, or mine, but yours. Hope this helps. See Hugo's post. This does not help one bit, because if I pointed out the black guy next door and said to you,' I can't stand that bloke' you would say I was racist. You seem to be one of the people that likes to be offended for others, Am I right ? You seem like someone who defends calling someone names based on the colour of their skin, am I right? I have already read, and laughed heartily at Hugo's post - I assume it's a very funny joke, as a grown man can't be that ignorant.

This is in real danger of getting very out of hand. Mods, suggest you lock this thread. I toyed with that at the beginning but as I've stated, the status quo doesn't appear to be working. Nothing seems to change with shocking extremists on both sides. Ignorance needs to be educated more effectively. Calling someone racist because they are ignorant doesn't work, if anything it feeds that sense of indignation and creates division. The way we currently tackle inequality and ".....isms" isn't working. I don't know what the answer is, but shutting down open discussion doesn't seem the right option.

I agree Hugo - but there's been a lot of people on here playing the "One rule for them..." card, or "PC gone mad". There's a difference between calling Ellis crap or something, and prefixing it with a racial slur. Newmarketgas is resorting to petty name calling because a lot of people are rightly unhappy at him trying to play down any allegations of racism as people being over-sensitive. It's embarrassing that so many on here are talking like it's the 1970's and it's no wonder you hear the odd thing at the Mem if this is what people truly think.

I think the stewards should be told to adopt a zero tolerance approach to this behaviour. Last seaon I had the misfortune to be standing in front of the most obnoxious and offensive example. He was obviously intoxicated and spent the whole of the first half spouting the most foul and offensive language at the top of his voice, a good portion of it highly racist. I am ashamed to say that ,being female, I felt too intimidated to go to a steward to complain. I hoped that one of the men would intervene (now I'm being sexist!) but his aggression was such that no one did. Luckily he didn't turn up for the second half. My point is that this was within the earshot of at least two stewards. He should have been ejected from the stadium immediately with a ban for life. I pledge right now that I will never turn the other cheek again. If we all resolve to take a stand maybe we can eliminate these morons from our midst. Final point... I can honestly say that this was the only incident of racism I have witnessed recently. Plenty of abuse, but not racist.

I think that despite this thread going off topic, everyone can see common ground that racism is bad, and we as fans should speak up if there are incidents.
The debate about what should be classed as racist and what shouldn't isn't really ideal for this thread, but I would definitely debate this elsewhere on the forum.

Regardless of the current argument, I always think that it's funny when people shout out at professional players to tell them that they aren't any good!
Next time you are about to launch into one of our players, consider what you do from 9 til 5 each day and which side of the fence you are stood on watching the game (not playing!).
I don't care if you scored 40 goals a season in the Bristol & District League on a Saturday when you were 18, or played at right back in the County League for 10 seasons - you still won't be as good as those that you are shouting at! If Chris Lines or Ellis Harrison walked in to my office and told me that I was **** at answering the phone, I'd kindly ask them to leave! Eric Cantona had it right at Crystal Palace 20 years ago and I'm surprised it hasn't happened again!
Nowt to do with colour - it's about respect in a modern world. UTG.

The issue is, if you know that's the perception, how do you alter it. It's disappointing that every thread we ever have on here ends up the same way. People become entrenched in thinking they are right. There is right and wrong on both sides and people need to get better at listening to the rationale of both sides of the argument.

Your posting is idiotic.

Was Muhammad Ali racist?
Michael Parkinson – That’s because, that’s societies fault, we got to educate people about it.
M.A. – Life is too short for me to be catching hell for something like that, I’d rather be with my own, and have a beautiful daughter, beautiful wife, both look like me and we are all happy and I don’t have no trouble. I ain’t that in love with no women to go through all that hell, there’s no one woman that good. You understand?
Parky – I understand, I do understand, I think it’s sad ….
M.A. – (Interrupting) It ain’t sad because I want my child to look like me, every intelligent person wants their child to look like them, I’m sad because I want to blot out my race and lose my identity? Chinese love Chinese they love the little slanty eye, pretty brown skin babies. Pakistani love their culture, Jewish people love their culture, a lot of catholic wanna be with Catholics and want the religion to stay the same… who would want to spot up yourself and kill your race? You’re a hater of your people if you don’t want to stay who you are. You ashamed of what god made you? You think he made a mistake when he made you?
Parky – I think that’s a philosophy of despair, I really do
M.A. – Philosophy of despair? Here let me tell you, listen. No woman on this earth, not even a black woman in Muslim countries can please me and cook for me and socialize with me like my American black woman, no woman, and last is a white woman… can really identify with me and my feelings, and the way I act, and the way I talk…. it’s just nature, you can do what you want, but it’s nature to want to be with your own, I want to be with my own.

We'll never agree because you can't tell what's racist, or not. bluebutterfly had it right when he said it's only racist if you make it that way, maybe you came on here today to see if you could wind people up - don't know if that's worked for you. As for being offended on behalf of other people, you'd have to ask them I suppose.
