It was 2,300 officially, I think, but looked like a lot more. http//www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/championship/st-andrews-birmingham-city.html#awhat-is-it-like-for-visiting-supporters According to this the lower tier can hold around 4500. Looks a lot more than half full.

Wolves fan here, I think they will allocate 3200 tickets and give option to pay on gate, think we wil, take 14-16k considering the prices, be sure to check that trains are returning to Bristol as some don't after a certain time from wolvo. Be sure to sing about the Albion and I'm sure we will sing about your loved neibours. Don't bet on you winning though if we start our first team you got more chance because we play posh flying football But our second team is a league one shin kicking dream team 😂 Should be fun see you at the mol!

Nearly 45 years since our last visit there in the league cup.I remember driving up there in my old Austin A40 full of optimism after our 2 previous years quarter finals in the competition.Unfortunately we were playing a top flight side then and got hammered. To add to the misery we met a blanket of fog near Bristol coming back around midnight and took ages driving down the M32.Let's hope we can turn the tables next month.

These are the league games we want to be playing in the near future, Wolves, Fulham etc so good experiences for the squad. Nice little taster of where they could be going on a regular basis. Last time I was there we had "no chance" they were top of our league. Dennis Bailey and Co had other ideas. 1.0 the Gas with a great following on an Easter Momday in the 80's That indeed was a great day, wolves only league home defeat all season, that team never gave up did it, oh and those lovely retards from bs3 waiting at temple meads. Infact it was their only defeat in two seasons at home as they were unbeaten the season before as they got promoted from division 4 , Bull and Mutch up front but we had Penrice and Bailey

Our 92 visit to Molineux was one of the great away days. Wolves fans gave Kenny Hibbitt a fantastic reception and we nicked it with a brilliant goal by Dennis Bailey. Great atmosphere too, even though, if I remember rightly, only two sides of the ground were open. Is that hulking great stand still miles away from the pitch? that game was 1989 fella

The 1976 5 - 1 defeat was one of my first big matches to watch at Eastville. 20k were there including a packed tote. In the dark sky. The muller Road end looked great with all that gold.
However the 1 0 win at molineau was one of the many highlights of watching the gas. Backs to the wall, I remember standing half way down the terrace and thought nobody was there until I turned around to go out. Everyone was stood under the roof.

Looks a lot more than half full. We were in the Railway End which holds 8000 in total but the upper tier only holds 1500 so the lower tier in which we were housed holds 6,500. I spoke to their chief steward afterwards (we were held back for some reason) and he told me that a large number of Rovers fans we admitted cash only as they were completely taken by surprise by the away support (despite the club telling them on at least 3 occasions that we were going to be mob handed). The official attendance reflects only the number of tickets sold, the Steward told me that they sent Rovers 1200 and printed another 1200 for sale in the day. When the size of the away support became apparent they printed off more but only had time to print another 600. A decision was then made at the suggestion of WMP, due to the number that would be locked out and the fact that the whole stand was available, to open cash turnstiles but this meant that there could be no official way of recording how many paid cash. Therefore the only way to report the away support was the number of tickets sold which was 3,000 minus a handful we had not sold in advance, hence the official away attendance of 2,980. He reckoned the actual attendance was closer to 5,000.

Last time I saw the Gas at Wolves we beat them 0-1 courtesy of a Dennis Bailey goal. Easter 1988 I think, got the train from Stapleton Rd with the R.A.T.S
Terrific day out

Got a lot of time for Wolves, proper footy club with great support even when they were in div 4. I remember them playing at the old Wembley against burnley in the windscreen wiper cup. 85,000 that day, they shifted over 50,000 tickets. Don't get me started on Steve Bull, scored for England whilst playing in the 3rd division , what a fkin legend. #goal machine.
