Drinkwater should be worth 4mil - football has gone mad. Arsenal not in for Mahrez according to BBC. Fools. This is not with the benefit of hindsight as I said it at the time - Arsene Wenger should have resigned or been asked to step down after winning the FA Cup. That was/is as good as it is going to get for him now at that club. He has done wonders for them in the past, but there comes a time when you have to move on. Arsenal and Arsene have reached that stage (probably long before now in all honesty). Brian Clough should have finished at the top but instead ended up taking forest down.Agree Arsene should have finished when his club won the FA Cup last season.

QPR signed David Wheeler. Surely rules them out from Bodin

I can't understand why Arsenal don't go for Mahrez, especially if Sanchez goes. They desperately need a marquee signing and Mahrez seems relatively cheap compared to some of the figures being brandished about for players. What Arsenal need and what they've needed since viera left is a ball winner to hold position while the rest of their twinkle toed team go bombing forward. I can't stand the arse but its glaringly obvious , Wenger lost the plot years ago.

DCs comments regarding his anger and disappointment if a player leaves almost sounds like a warning to the owners/chairman that if they sell him, they are going to have a very disgruntled manager at the club. We know DC has attracted interest in the past from teams who are a lot bigger than us and if they start selling his star players, I think his head maybe turned if someone comes knocking in the near future.

I totally agree. To me it makes me almost convinced Billy is off; I think your bang on and his comments are a warning to the owners that he's basically off if we sell him. And also an indication to the fans that any departures won't be remotely down to him... Very, very concerned. Especially with the figures being banded about in respect of Billy. £650k would be the deal of the century - last year of his contract or not. He's not worth a penny less than £1-£1.25 million even in his last year. If he had longer than a year it wouldn't be a penny under £2 million IMO.

Alex Bruce who joined Bury at the begging of August, has now left Bury and is a free agent.
He was only there to train and gain fitness, he had a non-contract agreement, he stepped in when they were short due to an injury, that was all.

Before accepting any amount of money for Bodin they should predict how much money the club may lose from relegation, unless the player really wants to leave.
