Anyone else notice that DC just sat in the bench tonight?
Didn't seem to get up and shout at all and looked quite a lonely figure sat there. Seemed a little odd and sounded downbeat in interview after.
Wonder what has been said or happened?

Seemed it was all Stewart tonight. It was the same last season with Ward never really dictating.

If you have watched the bench since Telford he has sat back and Stewart has been on the front foot,

I remember the last 20 odd mins v Mansfield - I was right behind the dugout - Clarke sat down head in his hands leaving it to Stewie to do all the rousing and prompting - that's why I thought Clarke isn't the man for this season. But I will support him as he's still here, but as I mentioned earlier I think he needs a wise ex-manager there alongside him, then maybe he might make it as a gaffer.

He wasn't sat in the dug out on his own surely the guys under enough pressure without his every move being analysed

I too stand immediately behind the dugout. He always sits down without doing anything demonstrative. Even in the 1st match against Grimsby he was quiet. Against Halifax, my partner remarked that he didn't acknowledge Dave Martin when he came off (he did tonite tho'). I don't think anything has happened, it's just how he is.

I noticed that too and also when we scored none of our bench celebrated, which I thought was a little odd.

I didn't see that, we were watching the bench all night and only until the last 20 mins was Clarke off the bench. Nobody celebrated, not even a clap, very strange.

The Directors have probably started going all quiet when he walks in the room. Face it, he's actually been around pretty long for a Higgs appointment. They all go to please the fans sooner or later.

Clarke was certainly on his feet at Altrincham; since then he has been given a lot of stick and sent Marcus out into the Managers area, while he jides away. The players copped a load after the match at Braintree Town, and are now simply picking up wages, ******* bunch of school kids.

I was told he received some abuse before the game from behind the dug out, fine way to treat a member of the club!
For what it matters we are becoming a team difficult to turn over at home, let's see if Fortress Mem mentality can be transferred to the road?

I wonder if the BoD will pay him a bonus for taking all the flak at ground level?
