Good to read after the thread on here about it. I think it's a good to communicate with the fans and let's face it we've said we want to hear from the owners and now we have. I guess most won't be happy until he says something about the UWE/ redeveloping the Mem but we may have to wait. But a positive move I think. UTG! This.

Wael really has taken on being a Gashead, let s hope SGC identify some land which we could buy and develop, no chance with Bristol city council. Apart from the bit of land we're currently sat on that they gave planning permission to?

I still believe Severnside is the best bet for a new stadium.

Until he actually communicates his plans and intentions for the Mem/new ground or work stars on the training ground he may as well not bother with this kind of stuff.
In isolation, its just a puff piece which tells us nothing about the very important issues that we currently find ourselves in.

Seems he can't win, dammed if he does speak and dammed if he doesn't.

When fans are asking for communication I'm sure they had something more substantial in mind. I genuinely like Wael and I believe he was right to pull out of the UWE deal but that's really only based on blind faith rather than anything concrete.

The owners had a golden opportunity to move the club to the next level. The UWE collapsed in spectacular fashion and they had to rush out an 11pm message that they had pulled out because the news had been leaked. They had since February last year and yet it failed at the 11th hour and 59th minute. Something exquisitely Higgs-esq about that.

All we've got really is our gut instinct to go by but he seems like a lovely bloke who's passionate about football and he's definitely got a very rich family, but we don't know how much of that he can spend on the club so we just have to wait and see which is something football supporters don't like doing these days, they need to know all the ins and outs of everything right now. UTG Absolutely correct. Patience among football fans is always in short supply but at the moment Wael is our owner and the improvements to the team, beginning a development squad, plans for the training ground and improved staffing to support DC show that he is growing the club sensibly. Unfortunately all gas fans want news about the ground and the news about the UWE after such a long wait was disappointing. Now we have to wait for the plan B. In the meantime we will have to wait and be patient but I'm going to enjoy watching the team play good football and do their best to get as high up this league as possible. My instinct is that we can trust Wael to deliver an improved club and that comes from the stuff we've seen. UTG!
