Tuesdays game is only a couple of days away but will it be enough time to sign an emergency keeper difficult few days for DC If you where in DC shoes what would you do ?
Andre Pros: Gave a good account on Saturday won the fans over with his performance cons: still young and very inexperienced at this level so prone to errors
Mildy Pros: Already with the club bags of experience, favorite with the fans, should be a simple case of just registering him as a player(might already be register) Cons: Match fitness, age Emergency Loan Pros: Could get a Championship or Prem reserve player Lumley would be the ideal choice Cons: Match experience at this level unknown, match fitness Jonkerman: Pros: Already with the club and registered Cons: Same as Andre young and inexperienced prone to errors Unttached Pros: Freebie if we can find one will provide additonal cover and competition for keepers for the rest of the season Cons: Match Fitness, experience unknown
Would like to see Andre given the chance but can see DC either bringing in an emergency loan or sticking Mildy between the sticks

Andre.
Registering Mildy as a player would add him to our wage budget I'm guessing?
It is only one game so no point looking for any more keepers.

Tuesday is too important. We could be throwing a vital 3 points down the drain by playing a rookie keeper that isn't ready for first team action.
It also could seriously effect his confidence and develoment if a free scoring Oldham side knock 4 past him on his full debut, and that could easily happen.
If Lumley is an option then we should definitely try to sign him on a short term loan. He already knows the defence so could slot straight in with no worries.

Lumley is now 2nd choice at QPR - so no chance.

If you have a third choice keeper and the first two are out you play him surely ? Otherwise why is he at the club ?
I'll be much happier if we stick by him than bring in a random regardless of the result, evolution not revolution.

Yeah I agree I mean everyone was too young and inexperienced the first time they played weren't they.

If he's in the side Tuesday we just have get behind him and support him

Simple solution is register Mildenhall as a non contract player and put him on the bench as insurance.if the kid shows he isn't up to it a quick change is easy enough. An experienced manager like clarke should be able to work it out in the first few minutes

Every Gas keeper of the past had their first game once, he could be the next Nigel Martyn who made his debut 30 years ago after being scouted by our then tea lady.

No brainier for me - give Andre the chance to shine.
Who knows - maybe we could end up with three players fighting for the #1 jersey.
I rate Smith but I'm starting to think of Slocombe as being a bit of a risk.

Have we had confirmation yet it is only the one game? If so, it's a straight choice between Andre & Mildly as we can hardly bring in a Championship goalie for just the one game? If Mildy's not match fit, how fir do you need to be a goalie(?), then recall Jonkerman as reserve goalie. Perhaps having Andre in goal when spur the other players on to give 100% for the full 90 minutes on Tuesday, if so, we could hammer a struggling Oldham.

Oldham might be struggling in the table, but have just brought in a number of new signings and were unlucky to have only drawn with Fleetwood on Saturday with an international making his debut, the highly-rated Eng U20 int. from Manchester City Kean Bryan scoring and a highly-rated loan player from the French top flight only making the bench. It will be a tough game and Oldham certainly shouldn't be underestimated.

Andre to start, Mildy to sit on the bench.

Just out of interest I looked up what Neil Etheridge is doing now, as last I knew he was at Walsall. He's playing now for Cardiff, top of the Championship, conceded 3 goals in 6 games! We missed out when Fulham released him.

I'd bring in an emergency loan if possible. I don't know whether Andre is ready yet and chucking him in at the deep end so early could be detrimental and if he has a bad game it could knock his confidence. DC will know what is best anyway.

What the Donald Duck has it got to do with us ?
Andre is dcs third keeper for a reason , that's good enough for me
He got baptised in yesterday's cauldron and swam
Play him

At the risk of being shot down, I think the rules about "emergency loans" have been changed, and having Andre would probably exclude us from getting one in any case.
For the sake of one game, I can't believe people are talking about playing Mildenhall. He's been great and I'm sure is a wonderful coaching asset, but lets be serious - he was finished this time last year.
