Hooray! Only another 10 years of fighting with tree huggers then and we'll be there.

“It wasn’t misleading, we were very optimistic that it was going to happen – right until the very end" says Hamer.
“You’ve got to say we were never misleading, it was ongoing. We were 100 per cent genuine and wanted something to happen.”
But...
Professor West said the university were given no indication Dwane Sports wanted to end stadium talks and were in fact waiting for the company to issue a head of terms document setting out the deal. The Vice Chancellor claims he has had no contact from Dwane Sports despite sending emails.
Somebody is telling fibs, but who?

Why does SH keep comparing the Mem regeneration to Brentford's new ground as are the ALQ's really going to invest £70m+ at the Mem to build a similar stadium? Plus they are building a new stadium on a new brown field site we've the problem that either football will have to continue whilst the stadium is re-built, or we'll have to move to the likes of Swindon for a couple of season's whilst the new stadium is constructed.
Perhaps this is just a warning to our "friends" at the UWE that the club is serious about Plan B, in the hope they come back to us with a better deal?

So what's happening with regard to the "Other Consortium" who want to take over and build the new stadium in conjunction with UWE.
Apparently, if Dwaine Sports didn't respond within a certain time-frame (surely now passed) they were going to spill all to the press.
Has anything been overheard in the corridors of power recently?

I Understand our chairperson had a meeting with our Mayor of Bristol I've got more faith in the new mayor than I would've had with ol' red trousers, at least he seems to be about progression rather than cycling lanes, 20mph zones and a facking ridiculous metro bus!

Its a misleading thread title - we're a long way off "negotiations' - it's "Preliminary Talks - and that could mean with just about anyone.

Why? how is that contradictory? "It wasn’t misleading, we were very optimistic that it was going to happen – right until the very end"... but wouldn't answer emails from UWE, who claimed they didn't know we were pulling out until the news broke in the media. Something doesn't add up. It's not contradictory, though, is it? Both sides are emphasising a bit that makes them look ok. Standard practice, and no need for either side to be lying.

Met SH the day after the takeover when him and Wael came around the boxes shaking everyone's hands ? Wael came across as very genuine but SH was overheard speaking to Ian Holtby saying " thank god that's over " as if to say did I really have to do that ! I think they are trying to buy time whilst trying to find a buyer for the club ? Doesn't make make sense about the training ground what could have changed that much to warrant resubmitting the plans ?

I sincerely hope they have started talks with the local residents, with them on board the PP process will be much easier!
