Pretty much as I saw it. Dreading Wigan on Saturday with our defending at present. The 2 signings we didn't get in, a DM and winger really hurting us I feel.

Moore rated higher than Sercombe and Nicholls? Bodin four and Ollie Clarke THREE??? A joke in my opinion. I think you should stick to your hobby, Steve. I`d rate Moore higher than Sercombe or Nichols, last night. At least he had a reasonable first half; I thought they were poor all game.

I don't buy into the theory that making changes caused last night's defeat or any defeat for that matter. It's an easy thing to say after getting beat but DC makes 3 or 4 changes most weeks & that hasn't worked out too badly at all. Last night came down to individual errors the keeper should save the first two & there are 2 or 3 culpable for letting a cross come in for the winner. Do we have issues to address yes of course we do but let's not kid ourselves that picking an unchanged 11 would suddenly solve them all. If DC picks the same 11 for next 3 games & we lose all 3 no doubt there will be people asking why certain players weren't dropped. It's a squad game we have to defend better as a team regardless of whether we make 3,5 or no changes at all.

What would anyone rate the ref? I despise that man so much I even know his name Brett Huxtable. We first encountered him, or I did, when he came on as a substitute ref after the original ref got injured. Huxtable had been running the line. He has ruffed about 5 matches for us since and every time I think he is crap.
I may not know all the finer points of football but I would have thought if a player takes it upon himself to lay on the ball in the penalty area - it should be a penalty! I may have the rules wrong and I stand to be corrected, but I won't change my opinion of Brett Huxtable - incompetent buffoon.

Everybodies banging on about a left winger, how about giving Kieran Richardson a call, unattached and could do a good job for us in this division

Pretty sure it was an OG, had a great view of it in the South Stand. Sweeney admits in his post match interview he never touched it

We were terrible last night, really cocerned, just hoping we can get enough points at home to stay up. Looking forward to Saturday although l don't have any optimism about getting a point. I really don't know what DC can do, He did not replace the snake, we don't have a natural goal scorer, and conceding far to many goals. hmm

He had a great 1st half, quality deliveries, dont think he lost the ball once and worked back when needed.

I would say he played better than your average league one player. That is as probably as good as it is going to get for him though.

Not a great performance last night. I'm wondering if there were some tired legs out there after Saturdays exertions? Spot on with your assessment Steve! Tired legs? For gods sake we are 10 games into the season plus a couple of cup games, they are supposed to be professional athletes!!

Not trying to be clever but their player deliberately laid on the ball which is obstruction and an indirect free kick where the offence took place.

I think most people inside the ground on Tuesday evening, knew that. Sadly, one of the few people who didn`t, was the only one who mattered.

I can't disagree with that. I'd probably give the crowd a lower mark though. No meaningful vocal support until we managed to get a goal back on 82 minutes. Poor show all round on a miserable night. stunned by this I thought the crowd were very good - still singing when 1 or 2 down - I actually thought they tried to keep the players going. I'd disagree, I'm afraid. I'll admit, I was on the West side and not in the Thatcher's end and the appalling weather may have made a difference, but our support as a whole was really quiet until Rory Gaffney's goal, in my opinion.

I don't know how much last night came down to 'tinkering'. DC made four changes, three of which I feel were enforced. Lines got injured on Saturday, wasn't fit enough to start. Partington can't play three in a week. Last week DC was criticised for playing him midweek then resting him on the Saturday. This week he does the opposite. Slocombe was suspended. Gaffney dropped for Harrison. So, it all comes down to the fine margins of how fit certain players were. We don't know these for certain. DC does. I think the issues were more down to the formation/our lack of squad depth meaning we were overrun in midfield. DC can be held accountable for these, but I think calling him out for 'tinkering' is oversimplistic and in last night's case, not true. Lines was arguably the best player when he came on - not fit - don't believe it Partington can't play three in a week - an opinion - where is the evidence? Slocome - true but why play an injured goalie when a fit one took over on Saturday and did well? Gaffney dropped for Harrison - tinkering or same as Partington??? You say how fit - I say tinkering - I say play your strongest available team for half a dozen matches and see what happens. That is what Gerry Francis did with 17 players

Too many excuses being made for and by the manager IMO. Fitness levels, barring injuries, should be spot on. Professional athletes, pampered and playing football on snooker tables. Mental attitude? That is a factor of both leadership and ability. It seems to me the manager has some aversion to getting in a couple of old heads to, as someone else observed, "do a job". Is he insecure about his own capability, and hence maintaining a squad of players that will not rock his boat? For me, no, yes, for me...

"Partington can't play three in a week" - is this a permanent thing, or is he still building up his fitness?
