Yes Yategas that's the spirit! I'm going for Sweeney 1st goal @ 50 -1 hopefully he will score a proper goal today? Mind you I don't care if he knocks it in with his old chap as long as he scores! UTG

We tend to turn up for big occasions (how sad to think Wigan is now a big occasion!) so I'm saying 1-1

I will be putting my usual £5 on a 3-1 win. Should be decent odds for once. Going to put couple quid on 1 all too as that is my prediction.

The team often let the fans down against the so called bigger teams, especially when we take a decent following. Blackburn will be the next game we take a few thousand but get spanked!

(Think Bradford last season, Chelsea, Fleetwood, Bury, Bolton, Chelsea (ok we lost but came bloody close), Scunthorpe etc... Admittedly not all of these would I class as big or bigger clubs but they were all games where generally people were writing us off before the game.... I do think this will be closer than what people think (hence my 2-2 prediction) especially as we'll be smarting from midweek where people seemed to think we'd walk it as they were bottom of the table but people seemed to ignore that they had just got in 3/4 top players for this league who were just starting to play and have just got lots of new investment..... League positions at this point of the season mean very little as teams are just finding themselves..... I normally wait till November before I think the table takes any realistic shape.... (Watch us now get tonked after I've spouted this lol!)

Does Fulham count? Bolton in the spring when the much loved Byron Moore nabbed us an equaliser? We did Oxford away in the same week if memory serves me correct. We have it in us, but these are not easy games for anyone. Hopefully today we'll show what we're really made of.

If Leadbitter and Moore are in the starting line-up then unfortunately I can see an easy 4-0 home win without them then possibly can limit the damage to a 1 or 2 goal margin defeat. I think confidence is shot at the moment and it's going to take a bit of time to sort out unfortunately.

This thread is almost virtually identical to the one on oldhams forum on Tuesday morning. So. Gas win 1-2.
