I'm not a Ellis fan but in fairness it was in corner and the gk just guessed right,we look relegation fodder at the moment Our midfield is sh** and needs a lot more quality,I've thought that in every game we've played hence more pressure on defence and letting in lots of goals Surprised DC said that's it for pens for Ellis as it was hardly a bad pen, Sweeney's challenge was a poor one, why not at least try and tackle the player rather than just bundle him over?

Harrison can be selfish and taking the penalty instead of at least offering it to Nichols proves it..... I'll now shut up, I'm so angry Your designated penalty taker should take the pen surely? amateurish to gift it to another player for sentimental reasons unless your 5-0 up imo.

Ellis just trying to side foot the ball in the corner. A poor penalty, should have blasted it straight down the middle like he has done on several occasions in the past. As for Sweeney, an obvious push from behind when clearly had no chance of getting near his man. No sympathy from me for the sending off, if it had been an opposition player the gasheads would have been baying for a sending off.

Some people too quick to write players off. Nichols has looked good in glimspes. Just needs to start having more impact. I think Nichols would be best along-side a big striker in a 4-4-2 formation but we don'y have the players to play that formation so I can see a frustrating season for the lad. But nicholls likes to come deep and get the ball to feet, there is no evidence that he would be comfortable playing off a big striker looking to get behind the defence.

Yes we lost to a very good team away but in my opinion and a very frustrated one that makes me lose faith in dc is as long as Harrison(a non league player) is on the pitch your playing with 10 men!!! So after when we're down to 10 we're actually down to 9!!! I really don't get why last week gaffney was taken off after 55 mins and he was the one to be sacrificed today...dc is delusional if he thinks Harrison is a top 6 league one striker because that's what we need...how many times does he make the wrong run or give it away etc two players must feel very frustrated in Telford and gaffney...we won't be top 10 and god knows where we're end up... Harrison a non league player? DC delusional? Not like our fan base to massively over react after a loss that wasn't that unexpected. This isn't over one result...we've lot 5 out of 9 games and drawn none... Harrison hasn't performed in league 2 let alone league one...last season dc was stubborn on starting Luke James and that cost us and it's not as if James has been banging them in for Forrest green( 1 goal in the cup) shows you dc was wrong to play him as he's not good enough...it's the same with Harrison, bodin 4, gaffney 3, Harrison 1 and Harrison has had more playtime than gaffney... since the snake left we have missed a natural goalscorer...I don't think Nichols is the answer either...summer signings and non signings has cost us..but I think that's down to our budget and wages we pay, although burton must have less resources than us and doing better but they have a better manager in my eyes

I just cannot believe how bad we were today. For me only Bola and Slocombe came out of the game with any credit. FFS whats happened to Leadbitter, no confidence, was shocking. Rounded off with that ******* awful Ellis penalty. Not good.

But making up whats in his mind is silly imo.

In that we may go back to Trollope's era of just having 16 1st team players as what's the point in having two players for every position but always stick to the one player. As far as player themselves back onto form Sweeney's going to be sat in the stands on Tuesday and Leads confidence must be shot bit, meanwhile Parts must be wondering what he's got to do to start. Bola's performance today brings highlight how stubborn DC is when it comes to playing the old guard.

Still early doors I know but DC needs to sort this out and quick or we are gonna be in a relegation scrap! oxymoron-esque?

The penalty should have been retaken. Goalkeeper moved off his line before the ball was kicked.

Well if you are right then that certainly rules out 4-4-2 ... what system is going to suit him then?

You've changed your tune these last 4 days, when I suggested Partington and Bola at full back you said 'Do you actually watch Rovers? I can't recall when Brown was last to blame for us conceding a goal so why mess about dropping him for Bola when we have serious problems elsewhere in the team'. Seems you agree with me now?

I have heard that bola played well today but i wasnt at the match were you? There is a stated injury/fitness issue with partington which has clearly affected his selection imo.
