Fair enough but what about a warning for Victor Meldrew then? Just winding people up as usual! 3 threads on the go from him just slating DC and players is that acceptable? I can see why yourself and others get angered by what appears slagging off of players etc, however thats kinda is the point of a forum, we won't all agree with the posts written but the idea is to debate why you feel they are wrong. As i say i understand it aggrieves people but to throw names/insults just degenerates threads and we then get tit for tat name calling etc. Hope you kinda understand my point and again thanks for your help. Yes I understand, apologies. PS my posts stink!

Where is the incentive if you know you could play the game of your life and end up on the subs bench next game? And where's the incentive if you have a mare and still start every game? exactly

And where's the incentive if you have a mare and still start every game? exactly To be fair that's not really true as Harrison, Brown and Sweeney have all been dropped this season, Locks is probably the only one not dropped but it's hard to drop your captain particularly he's the only fit right footed CB in the club, Parts had a shocker at CB on Saturday and Burn even more so at Bradford and mysteriously as been out injured ever since!!

And where's the incentive if you have a mare and still start every game? exactly The games changed you know? its not just the same team every week for anyone these days. I would argue that part of the managers success at the club has been the way at least 17 players can always consider themselves first team players.

Problem is if you try and standstill the chances are you'll go backwards, what incentive is there for the likes of Locks & Bodin, even Harrison and the like, if they realise our only ambition is to finish mid table? It's a tough one ... I genuinely in my heart know we are nowhere near ready for the Championship you only have to look at Bolton to see the gulf between the two leagues. I don't think Bodin or Lockyer or anyone in our squad is Championship class either not consistently anyway. Worryingly this group and a manager desperate to show what he can do and that he is 'in charge' i think puts our L1 status in real jeopardy this season. To cheer us up you could get your mate lee johnson and i will call my buddy steve lansdown and we could all have a nice day out at legoland. This time instead of just giving him a "your a nice guy" goofy smile you could actually be brave enough to ask him some questions. Another suggestion is come along to a development match and have a chat with dc yourself, hes very open to approach. Dont wear the suit though,it might get muddy.

The only constant we have at the moment is DCs changing the team and his nonsense about the next project. He isn't as good as he thinks he is and the constant tampering is costing us points. I said at the start of the season I thought we would struggle and nothing has changed that view. My warning now is that if we don't bring in quality in January I think we will go down. I'm desperate to say I don't think there will be money available and equally the manager really has little idea on who to spend it on anyway. I am really gutted because any momentum we had has truly gone both on and off the pitch. Yeah we're destined for relegation with this constant tampering. Today we had to make changes to both of our center halfs and picked up a clean sheet. "DC isn't as good as he thinks he is" what does that even mean ? We're two points off the play offs for promotion to the championship and when DC took over we were in free fall to the conference. Have a word with yourself.

I think we are running out of both. Doesn't seem to be any great belief that we can win away. It's getting almost painful to watch as DC makes the changes and we end up just leaving ourselves open and get killed off. We are at present a midtable to bottom side. At present your always where you are because your in the present but anyone who has supported us over the last few years can see that DC tries his ideas out early on in the season and builds his first team for the later stages based on what he sees in the earlier parts. At present we are 2 points off of the play offs. It doesn't mean we will finish 2 points off the play offs. You write some really good match reports but some of the stuff you come out with is very knee jerk reaction considering.

I have been thinking for some time we have been an experimental work in progress until now. I I know one swallow doesn't make a summer (although for Baggins, it can certainly make your day!), but it all came together yesterday. Nicholls is quality actually, his vision and ball control is excellent, he just needs a goal. Bola is so good he's stratospheric. If only we could sign him permanently. With him and Partigton the full back positions are sorted, although I thought Parts was hesitant to sprint yesterday so may be carrying an injury? I also like the look of Telford, perhaps he is going to come into the picture more as the season progresses, could be a good replacement for Billy until he recovers from his injury. The 2 centre backs did their case no harm at all. Mayo was totally committed and I enjoyed seeing him give the Linesman a good blast when he made a mistake. Broadbean was unflappable, but I would like to see them under more pressure because the Northampton midfield pressing was non-existent. All in all a good time to be a Gashead.

Simple question@: -
it seems every player yesterday had a good day (even Nicholls who set up two of the goals and the pass for Sercome's goal was sublime)
Which player who had a good game should be dropped for the next game? - and why?

Which player who had a good game should be dropped for the next game? - and why? It doesn't really matter what an individual player does, though, does it? DC makes it pretty clear that for each game he builds the team from the ground up from scratch to fulfill the role he thinks it needs to perform for that match. And he calls this a project. He's been doing this for three years. Yes, generally in football we're all used to players being picked on form, and on not changing a winning team, and on playing for your place, and going for stability, and keeping your place in the team, and however else you want to put it, that is (was?) the norm in football. But DC hasn't done that right from the start and he doesn't do that now, and everyone knows that. Istm either you buy into that or you don't.

Its just that i wonder how many times the manager will have to explain his management style to us supporters? He has clearly stated he has a squad of players and he picks from that squad the team he thinks is best suited to the next match[project].

Which, correct me if I'm wrong,is to score goals. Your wrong. His job is to link the attack to midfield and help our team win whether it by setting up goals , scoring goals or playing well by passing the ball well and keeping possession well.
