TBH there's no evidence of anything, The Colony story is now following the UWE saga, lots of promising talk but ultimately not the result we wanted. If the ALQ's are prepared to spend £m's at The Colony & the Mem why have they left DC struggling with just a mid table budget this season. Very bold statement Topper - I challenge you to show and prove what the budget is for this season of all the football clubs in our division - only then will we know how far up the scale we are - do you even know what our own Club's budget is? What did DC say yesterday - "we have a mid table budget" - is he lying and you know something different? Why the defensive aggression all the time - get a life!!

Why challenge me, challenge DC as he said it yesterday? I suggest you do a bit of reading in future before making a bit of a fool of yourself on the forum: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/darrell-clarke-explains-exactly-how-652063Anyway what's with the bold big letters, have you just finished a Microsoft Word course or something?

I think the evening post interview about support, budget and infrastructure was very much how most of us see things. Its also quite brave because he is taking a swipe at the owners about infrastructure as it hasnt really improved under them in terms of facilities or playing budgets in my view.

Everyone is working hard to progress the football club and that’s what we have to continue to do.“ doesn’t seem overly critical to me. Seems a fair assessment and supportive of what is trying to be done.

I tend to agree with Henbury, we've pretty well got what DC wanted- 2 Goalkeepers, Sweeney back, a midfielder in Sercombe and a player up front who is supposed to score goals. Dc has never really liked wingers whatever he says and with that goes the 4-4-2. I would say he wanted to play 4-3-3 and his stubbornness has stopped him playing anything else because he didn't intend to get the players in to play anything else. Will he get the players to play 4-4-2 in January? I think not- Personally I am fed up with the " Players are so expensive", "Agents want to much" etc Either he can do the job or he can't and that means using the tools or getting the tools. I am sure Shrewsbury had no bigger budget than us but they have a system that works- we don't.

Assuming DC is correct and we have a mid table budget and a bottom 4 infrastructure then aren't we were we expect to be - mid table? There's always teams like Shrewsbury who over achieve but generally a team's budget dictates where they finish in the league.

I don’t get all the players and agents want this and that every transfer window,it’s the same for every club so why say it If he’s being honest why doesn’t he just say we can’t afford it we have very little to spend

I don’t get all the players and agents want this and that every transfer window,it’s the same for every club so why say it If he’s being honest why doesn’t he just say we can’t afford it we have very little to spend Because then he's moaning about his budget and the board. So instead he says things like, he's supprised how much players are asking for. We lost out on targets, as they went elsewhere for more money, we have been over achieving and we will carry on trying to do that. More or less means the same, but he is not directly moaning about the budget, he has been given.
