Barcelona and the other Catalan teams will continue in the Spanish league. A separate Catalan league at the top level wouldn't be welcome due to the lack of competition. Barcelona may try to join another countries League...like the Premier league. Or they may instigate a new league being formed across Europe ?
How many English clubs would jump ship to join Barcelona in a new league ? Im sure Celtic would be tempted as might PSG

Messi will have no choice but to rebuild his career at the gas. Messi is unbelievably Catalan for Gashead.

A more interesting question would be - what has Espana done with all the billions of Euros pumped in to it year in year out by Brussels ? Yeah and what have they done with all the money they got for Neymar from the froggies? . Welfare benefits, can't remember exactly how it works, but basically your benefits match your salary. Thus the Spanish I do lang exchanges with here, earning s### loads of cash for doing nothing for up to two yes I think

Surely the most important question will be about the standard of the pies? Or will it be a load of old bull?

Does that mean that Brexit would mean that we will no longer be able to compete in the European Championships? Of course not, so it won't make any difference to Barcelona if there was Catalonian independence. There is unlikely to be independence granted to Catalonia anyway. They have been at this malarkey for years....a bit like the Scots. lol UTG Catalonia is not a country. Non EU membership is not a requirement to play in European competitions

Not sure what you all think, like is this the best room to discuss, but I was wondering what all your thoughts are about the escalating situation of Catalonia declaring independence from Spain? How would this effect one of the biggest football clubs in the world, F C Barcelona? With tensions high, could the unthinkable happen? If Catalonia declare independence from Spain, would the Spanish Government apply pressure on the Spanish FA to expel all clubs in the Catalonia region? This would include Barcelona, Espanyol, C B Sabadell and other clubs. And it this does happen, what would happen to our fans relationship with CB Sabadell? If this could happen, then these clubs could be expelled from both UEFA and FIFA, leaving all players in limbo. Another Gasheads trip is planned for May to go and watch CB Sabadell. Could this trip be put in jeopardy? At the moment there seems to be war of words going on, but the Catalonia government seems intent of declaring independence. Zzzzzzz
