Following on from a post I made a few minutes ago, anyone else regularly stand or sit next to a critic? Someone who throws out nothing but vitriolic rubbish at the squad during the game? Someone who hasn't seen anything past his belly, ever, but get him at a game and he's suddenly the best Manager the World has ever seen?

Yup. There's more than one in the West Enc.
I consider them bad omens if I get one next to me on the terrace.
I always wonder - how bad must your life be if the way you spend your spare time and disposable income is such a constant source of anger and disappointment to you?
The biggest targets are always:
Harrison
Lines
Ollie Clarke
Pretty much any time one of those three touch the ball you'll get some spurt of vitriolic tourettes from one of these pie-munching Mourinhos.

I seem to be surrounded by idiots who don't understand my motivational entreaties to the players, nor do they seem to appreciate that I clearly know more about football than they do. All these dickheads do do is moan and groan about me throughout the game!! Unbelievable.
I agree with you Bags, the sooner the club rids itself of these moronic imbeciles the better.

I'm surprised at the amount of "words" that are had towards these types on the terrace. They are not infrequent in the West Enc and can get rather red faced. |

Yes ,I sat in front of him and his constant foul language was an embarrassment especially with ladies next to him.So pleased an old boy spoke to him about it.Linesy was top notch anyway. |

Never any critics in the Blackthorn end , most of them are too watered to string a sentence together or too busy picking fights amongst themselves.

During the first half against Northampton the people around us were OK, there was plenty of encouragement for the team and although the singing youngsters were a few rows away everything was pretty friendly with good banter.
When the 2nd half started 4 blokes, the oldest of whom had to be in his 60's plonked themselves in front of us. All through the half they were effing and jeffing and gesturing towards the home singing section, and generally not behaving their age. It doesn't particularly bother me, but I had my lad with me and whilst I appreciate that he probably knows all the swear words, he didn't really need to hear them bellowed every few seconds for 45 minutes. There was no abuse directed at our players, in the circumstances it would have been curmudgeonly to criticise during a performance like that.
Those blokes are probably totally different away from football, and wear suits to work.
Football can do funny things to some people.
Where do you sit Baggy?

 Sounds like the 'Ray Winstone Look alike Brigade' who take their seats at the last minute at away games,usually watered and give the stewards a hard time. |

It's the East of Eden story. The son the father loved the most was the one he treated the worst because he expected more of him. Typical football fans actually. So our best players shouldn't worry about being singled out. It just proves how good they are.

I stand behind the dugouts in the West enclosure. Fortunately few nasty critics & plenty of wit. But once one guy & his son stood there & he raved like a butter from minute 1 to 45 & 46 to 90. It was an endless stream of invective & what I assume he thought was perceptive coaching (like DC,MS & Yatesy didn't know what was going on). Funny though - during halftime he exchanged words with a female friend of mine,& know what? He was perfectly nice & charming. Strange....
