Strange that the providers come from Brighton just as our new Commercial director did. Is this a deal that was done at the outset, or was it genuine? Where are our Clarks Pies? Well, they won all these awards, so you know, it could be real, or it could be that everyone is corrupt and you've uncovered a source of corruption that goes right to the heart of the football community. Perhaps you're the only one who can deal with this. Pie corruption at the top of the English game, we need our best man on the job, Gasincider, he's a maverick P.Ie, with his ear to the ground and his nose finely tuned to the whiff of Pie corruption. He's the detective with a heart of gold, and a shady past(y). You should probably have your own TV series. www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/2013/april/piglets-pantry-pies-scoop-top-awards/Albion’s pie supplier Piglet’s Pantry scored a hat-trick as they scooped the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes at the British Pie Awards. The pies were voted the best in the country within the ‘Football Pie’ category with the Steak & Blue Cheese pie winning the top prize, the Steak & Ale pie finishing second, while the Butternut Squash & Spicy Vegetable pie completed the whitewash, finishing third. Albion fans will be accustomed to the Steak & Ale and Butternut Squash & Spicy Vegetable pies, which have been regulars at the Amex throughout the season, but the Steak & Blue Cheese pie will be in the kiosks for the Albion fans to taste for the 2013/14 season.

Crisps aren't good for dogs. You should see the state I get into after eating a snickers. Does it involve a bag and a bin?

Seems a bit of a coincidence... I hope this was not a stick-up and I worry about the potential lack of pasties. Shame it was not a local firm as well. If you had used a company in the past who had successfully delivered decent food on a massive scale for a football club would you use them again? I know I would. Especially if I were trying to impress a new boss. I don't believe it's a coincidence at all that they were part of the taste testing process.

Greetings, Gasheads. Brighton fan here.
As someone who has sampled Piglet's Pantry pies at the Amex for the past six years, I can assure you these are superb. The steak is cooked SLOWLY for five hours in Harvey's - a local Sussex ale. The chicken pie is excellent, and the spicy veggie pie is great too. The sausage roll (as per that BBC clip) however is off the scale.
Yes, I do know the people at Piglet's and so am a bit of cheerleader, but I do still suspect you'll be in for a treat. They'll be at the Mem giving out free samples. Suggest you try them, then let us know.
The point about a local supplier is very valid, and it's something we specifically wanted when the Amex opened. However, in the evident absence of one in the Bristol area, I hope you appreciate these offerings. The only downside MIGHT be that the pies are more expensive than you're used to. They're very expensive at the Amex (£4.20) but still sell in their thousands. Really. I dbout that they'll be that steep down there.
Oh, and look after Tom Gorringe for us - a top bloke, very approachable, and open to all kinds of ideas. Well, football-related ones, anyway...
Good luck with your season. Cheers. Read more: gasheads.org/thread/6788/pie-tasting?page=2#ixzz4vJ1Kjka1

Conspiracy confirmed as far as I'm concerned. It won't be long before we are all chomping down on Tom Gorringes sausage meat and wondering how we never saw it coming. Doubt they serve sausages in the cafeteria of power mind. They're still on the cucumber sandwiches I expect.
