Strange that the providers come from Brighton just as our new Commercial director did. Is this a deal that was done at the outset, or was it genuine? Where are our Clarks Pies? I’d blame the White Knight, I hear they were bringing the Clarks Pies, along with UWE and our chances of winning the World Cup...

Talking of which, I had my first ever pie from Pieminster's at the weekend - beef one - was top notch ! and washed it down with 6 pints of ale !!! I have never tried or heard of Piglet Pies,so we will have to wait and see. But you are right about Pieminister, the best pie I have ever tasted,we buy them all the time. You get what you pay for. And they are a Bristol firm. Wonder if their pies were on the menu at the tasting at the Mem,if not,why not?

Love a conspiracy theory as much as the next person, however the Steak and Ale and the Chicken Balti pie was the talk of the tasting.

I've tried Pieminster pies a couple of times and thought they were absolutely awful.

I find that hard to believe H! What is wrong with your taste buds? I like filling in my pies. When I have a pie with "butter beans" I expect more than one butter bean to be in it.

Jesus Christ, people saying why haven't we got this and why aren't using a Bristol firm. You wouldn't have said anything before this announcement. Can people just not accept this, it's a pie ffs.

I dont know who was represented at the pie tasting, but what is wrong with inviting someone you have worked with known for making quality pies to take part in a taste test. Perhaps someone could list who was invited. At least someone who actually went has said they were the talk of the tasting, rather than a load of people just moaning for some reason

Seems pretty clear that some people have an agenda against our new owners and are trying to find any little reason to stir up sh** over every little thing they do.

Hugo, lets not start another rumour You are right though, the stadium discussion after Nick Rippingtons article. I have always found him to be a genuine Gashead and a pretty reasonable journalist, attacked immediatly by those ITK. Feck em, lifes too short - UTG

Better tasting pies make more revenue for the club so at the end of the day it doesn't really matter where they are from.

They do a Steak & Stilton pie that is to die for on the deli counter at Gloucester Services great hot or cold. Often stop there on way back from away games just to buy the pies

Now we have the so called worlds best Pies on site, do you think the price will go up ? You have to be KIDNEYing to think they will not go up and it is definitely PIE IN THE SKY to expect them to stay the same price. I expect them to make MINCEmeat out of us and up the STEAKS. I think we'll have to PUKKA our pockets and take the RISE.

In reality the communication of late has been no better than it has been for years, so not surprised the honeymoon is over.
The failure of the UWE removed the optimism that many felt that we were near to being in a position to compete in the second tier and fulfil the huge potential the club always had. Add to this very slow progress on the training ground and it is not unreasonable for people to moan a little. All it takes is for decent plans and timescales for Mem and the training ground to be revealed and the moaning stops. Don't think anyone doubts Wael's commitment, but the chairman has rightfully taken some stick over some very poor communication recently and has done little to show us Rovers is anything more than an enjoyable job, unlike Wael no evidence of any passion.
Perhaps our new commercial director might be a potential replacement once he settles in and proves himself ..... would explain him taking a chance on the still rag bag Rovers.

Seems a bit of a coincidence... I hope this was not a stick-up and I worry about the potential lack of pasties. Shame it was not a local firm as well. What do you mean, they are local!
