So it's obviously a big disappointment for us that our goal-scoring machine, Billy Bodin is going to be out for a while.
Who would you like to take his place : Nichols, Telford, Broom, someone else ?
I'd really like to see Telford come in - the lad is scoring, his movement and technique look great, so I'd keep Nichols on bench to come on.
BUT DC's going to pick Nichols, right ?

Might be if Hugo has a pie. I've heard he's a great dribbler ?

I guess it depends on whether DC sticks with 4-3-3 or reverts to 4-4-2, if the latter then Sincs, Broom and even Moore come into consideration.

Go 3 5 2 and the wing backs can bomb on, so that solves it

If we're going to keep the diamond that did well at Northampton, then I think Sinclair should play there.
He can harry and chase the Oxford defence and midfield and would have more freedom to drift with OC/CL/LS behind him. Think back to Swindon last season.
Don't know if he's fully fit but reckon he could do 60 mins in there and bring on Nichols/Telford.

If we don't start with the same team, bar bringing in Bodin for Nichols i will be bit disappointed. Don't know how you can drop anyone from a side that won 6 - 0.
I can imagine Lockyer, Sweeney will undeservedly walk back into the side and Moore somehow get another run out.

How many times in the past 3 years has DC picked the same 11 (bar BB in this case)? I'd like us to play the same formation with Nichols in for BB and I would swap Rollin out for either Locks or Sweeney

The whole make 5 changes is like DC trying to prove his a masterful tactician sometimes. Just keep it the same for 1 game.

Do we know Bodin is out for a while? On that front, as ever, DC's not giving anything away in his latest interview.

Dont worry about rollin he will still be on a high after getting a league outing at least 1 year earlier than he woud have expected, most managers we have had in recent times wouldnt have taken the chance. DC wont be trying to prove hes a tactical genius but he will manage in his own style thank god.

Rollin won't retain his place and I don't think that's necessary a bad thing. Lets face it, Northampton were awful and Oxford will possess a more potent attack. Lockyer is experienced and our captain. Rollin will be delighted with his debut and will continue to develop. He has only done his prospects the world of good and Clarke will know he can rely on him in the future.
Fully expect Lockyer to come in and I think he'll keep faith in Broadbent as well personally.

For Billy's replacement in the same formation I'd go with Telford over Nichols because we're losing our top scorer and so therefore need to bring in a goal scorer and as good a player as Nichols is I think if Telford starts tomorrow he'll score where as Nichols probably won't.
(If Nichols starts and scores I'll be very happy to be proven wrong)

Do we know Bodin is out for a while? Was thinking the same. I’ve not seen any comment from anyone regarding the seriousness of the injury. We are all just assuming it’s as bad as it looks. Expect him to be starting tomorrow!

Expect him to be starting tomorrow! Be nice wouldn't it! I can't see it myself, you don't go down like that and then play a week later. We all know DC wouldn't tell us either way so we can only hope, all be it a very small hope.?

Expect him to be starting tomorrow! Dc don't give any info out to the media anyway so nothing new there. With a hamstring injury it depends where abouts the strain is,anywhere near the attachments and you could be lucky and miss just one week, near the center and it is four weeks minimum.
