Our problem is Wael is clearly unwilling to invest vast amounts on the playing squad. Many fellow Gasheads I have spoken to don't want Clarke sacked but claim he has not had much money to spend. £80K on Parts, £40K on Burn, £150K on Sercs, £300K on Nichols, DC given a 5 year contract suggests decent spending by our standards? Plus offers apaprently turned down for Bodin f me you moan that he hasn’t got anything to spend on other threads

At 3pm a week ago we were poised to leap into a play off spot, now we are such a crap team & DC should go. Fact is we could have got a point last week & today, with a bit of luck - against Shrews we were a shambles. IMO Some players, Clarke, Sweeney Locks, Lines, as examples have not produced the form of last season, we have.missed the Beard in midfield, Sercs looks ok, but not set the world alight & Nicholls although some nice moments, he doesn't look confident in the box & desperately needs one to go in off his arse, but I still think he will score goals for us. I think that although DC is a tinkerman at the best of times, with so many inconsistent performances, he has made too many changes & confidence is lacking, it seems every mistake made is punished. It's no point moaning about personnel & formations, what we need is for DC to adopt a post Braintree type siege mentality in the team & start by keeping the same side against MK (Ellis is suspended so one change only) see where it takes us. I honestly believe these players, if they find form & confidence can be a top 8 or better. With inexperienced Management team at this level & inexperienced owners, I think we will have a few up & down seasons like this on the field. But hopefully we will maintain our L1 status, during the learning curve which will put us in a good position, when / if we ever get a stadium that can generate income streams to take us forward. Far too early to even talk about changing the Manager "We could have had a point this week or today" is not a fact.

Seeing you are being picky tho, I did say 'last week & today' not this week & today.

FWIW we are still closer to the playoffs than the relegation zone after a sh** week. Not bad for a crap team with a clueless manager

Some tough games coming up in November, which won't be easy for DC. Blackburn away and Scunthorpe away.

FFS mods please remove post, it is ridiculous So you want to ban free speech because you have a differing opinion why? just put your point of view forward as your argument against mine simples Having walked back to my car in the driving rain and now having driven 4 hours home in the same rain, I'm curious to know if you actually went to the game or just stayed home in the warm and dry ready to do a bit of typing at 5 o'clock. If you were there, fair play, you maybe saw a different game to me. In the early autumn of 2014, after a few conference games, others were writing much the same stuff but probably with a clearer justification. I'm just glad no one listened to them.

Few of us go to every game and you are right, that doesn't mean we can't have an opinion. However, if you want to suggest that one of our most successful managers should be sacked on the basis of a one - nil defeat on a day when good football was impossible, I'd hope the OP did at least watch the game.

Anyone who thinks sacking DC now would be for the good of our club needs a check up from the neck up. If we’re bottom of the league at Christmas then maybe but it’s october and we’re mid table for f**ks sake. This forum is sh**. Agree with it all except the last sentence. One or two belters does not a bad forum make (Mark Twain) Your right. It was said in the heat of the moment and it is a good forum run well by good moderators. I stand by everything else I’ve said though.

Yes I was at the game and also on Tuesday night in fact due to where I live I am seeing more away games ok I did not see the he Oxford game but seeing at the moment Am on cruthches and can't drive I have to get a life ft where I can so I have a decent reason not to go to all games but FYI I have missed 3 of the league games so far this s season and other than Tuesday night all games are an away game for me so I feel I have the right to give my opinion and my view on the state of our club

I still wouldn't class this run of results 'the worst set of performances ever' or a sequence that justifies sacking the manager.
