We've some good boys but lack men, the problem is experience. And you don't win anything with kids said Alan Hanson.

If the defence is being overrun, then where is their protection? You defend as a team. They had 20 shots on target! I mean, we can only dream of that many!

We seem to have a very soft underbelly atm. The team does not defend as a unit. Shocking to be shipping so many goals.

I can see darrell clarke becoming the next paul trollope or don megson. Sad really when you have a bit of success at a small club the trick is to get out of there and get yourself a bigger club.

What have I been saying all season??? We can (and should) criticise back four, but where was the shape or protection? Tactically naive and inexperienced. Clarke presides over rampant inconsistency- in any work of life that smacks of incompetence somewhere. I believe Clarke has reached his management apotheosis. Divine he ain't!!!

The amount of goals conceded, especially at set pieces, is ridiculous . The defence and that includes last season too, looks really unsure & IMO defend too deep, whether it's because of so many miss placed passes or getting closed down further up the field o even too many changes in personnel, i don't know. Sweeney is a shadow of last season & Locks is really short on form. We have experience in the team, but I don't see real leaders anywhere on the park, by that I mean a nasty gobby sort, either at CH or CM, someone who would really get into the players on the field, and leads by example. I thought Hartley might have been that type when he joined last season. I think DC takes too much on himself & wonder if he takes any advice from those around him, the reason I say that is I remember when we went down, he more or less said that he didn't think JW had got it right but as his No.2 he felt it was his place to support his manager & only when he took ove he could adopt his ways? Still lots of time to turn the season around, but he must start to make us difficult to beat - this win some lose some approach is fine as long as you win more than you lose, but at the moment we ain't .

We might not have a top 6 budget but DC's probably got a top 10 budget which is most likely the best any Rovers manager has got since we've been back in Bristol. Regardless why rest Leads & Harrison tonight when we needed a decent performance.

Regardless why rest Leads & Harrison tonight when we needed a decent performance. Most pundits say £100-150k sercombe,£250-300k nichols at most £450k and we know we got £300k for taylor! Dack cost blackburn £750k and its reported marriott cost peterbro £500k from luton but most transfers are undisclosed. Dc thinks his budget is nearly mid table but then again hes the only manager working with a large number of players who have gone up 2 divisions in a short space of time.
