Assuming Sweeney isn't away too this weekend for the Scunthorpe game I image he will play alongside Broadbent. Personally I would go with the 5-3-2 and also play Manayese and then use the wing backs. Ireland U21's seem to have a fixture on 14 November but even their website doesn't mention the squad, perhaps they won't call Sweeney up until after the match? If so, Scunthorpe are going to be hit harder than us, in fact losing Locks might do us a favour.

Not sure about Leadbeftter all he can offer at the moment is speed! Who else gives us any pace in the team? Plus watch the Blackpool, Rochdale and Notts C highlights Parts cost us at least one goal in all those games, Leads is a bit suspect as well but seems the least mistake.

This guy definitely deserves a start v Swindon - Menayese.
If he plays well, then keep him in for Scunnie as Broadbent's partner. Leads and Brown for experience alongside them. Must be Gaffers and Ellis up top. Midfield - if Bodin is fit then Lines to take a break.

The sooner we get back to winning ways the better. Swindon are sitting 5th in L2 and have a home game Saturday v bottom club Chesterfield. That must be their priority. So let's put out a strong side, try to progress and go into Saturday's match with a morale boost. Playing on a Wednesday and then a Saturday should not be a big ask for professional, fit players. At last, someone who agrees that most 20 something players should not find it problematical to play 2 games in that period. I sometimes watch the players being treated for cramp and that’s during normal time and it really puzzles me. I was not a pro or semi pro but a decent enough suburban league player and I honestly could have played daily. I really dislike it when coaches & management use this as a reason for poor performance. This is their profession and they are lucky they don’t have the 12 hour days I used to do and many of you still do. Stuart Sinclair was on record as saying how lucky he felt being a footballer and he explained, in detail, his working days prior to becoming a football league player & he was both incredibly grateful & joyous at the spare time he had on his hands. He was a fitness instructor & his day started at 06:00, so he was up at 04:45, to take his first one on one session with people who do pre work routines & he would often not leave until 22:00 hrs. Oh dear, I’m off on one again lol

Swindon game: ______________ Andre ______________ Leadbitter _ Menayese _ Sweeney _ Bola _________ Lines ____ Clarke __________ __ Broom ______ Russe ______ Moore __ ______________ Telford ______________ Scunthorpe Game: _______________ Smith ________________ Partington _ Menayese _ Broadbent _ Brown __________ Lines ____ Sinclair __________ Nichols _______ Sercombe _______ Harrison ______________ Gaffney _______________ I am not sure if that team selection for the Swindon game is in line with the tournament selection criteria? I have no idea. I take your word for it because I haven't really followed the rules for selections. I know its slightly different from last season but I didn't really care then either due to my feelings on this competition.

Very unbalanced squad to choose from - I blame dc for not being able to build a squad and wael for not allowing/making him do so - awful options - square pegs and round holes and a general lack of quality and form. Squad would struggle to win the conference imo!

I can't argue that we have an unbalanced squad just look at our LW options, but lets have some perspective!

My suggested team selection for next 2 games 4 3 3 andre leadbetter bola broadbent the beard lines ollie clark sercome ellis gaffers nichols (or bodin if fit) Did you ask yourself 'What would Holloway do?'........or was it Stevie Wonder coz no one else is picking The Beard in a back four.

I think (praying) that we might see Billy Bob playing this weekend? That would give us a massive lift, there’s no doubting that the wheels have fallen off since his injury. Broadbean & Mayonaise as the CB’s another clean sheet on the way, hopefully! UTG
