Even if that all happened we'd still be better off than with those 3 in charge of the club. If they can revive the UWE stadium project then at least we might a future if the ALQ's now have no interest in investing anymore money. Do you really mean that?

DC will be aware of the pressure he’s under and may have seen some of the stuff on the forum ps. It’s also a bit of a risky strategy because if he jars off the owners then that sometimes end badly for the manager! I hope not. The five year contract would make that highly unlikely but the pressure is building. COYB! Five year contract is to stop him being poached. If someone wants him they have to pay up his contract. All managers contracts for years included a 12 months pay get out clause, or at least they always did. Can't see why the AQ's would have changed that. Hani is flying in at the weekend. Perhaps there will be some communication then. Thanks. Yes, I understand the reasons for the length of contract. I just think it’s a risky thing to do. I can’t think of many managers who go up against the owners and come off better. One of DCs strengths is the way him and the team have grown together with him being allowed to do it completely his way. He’s often spoken about liking the way he has been allowed to manage. Going into somewhere else with established players who may have an attitude may not be one of this strengths. He was a better manager from September 2014 onwards than he was in March / April 2014. Obviously having more experience helped but so did getting rid of the c*** and getting his own players in. It’s going to be interesting times and if the money man is flying in you are probably correct about some news coming soon. UTG!

And the benefit of reviving a bad deal at UWE is? eventual failure and the end of Bristol Rovers - they almost achieved that two years ago and you want them back? The basis for saying the Al-Qadi's have no interest in investing more money is? - rumour and innuendo by failed ex-directors!

I'd say it was the obvious fact they haven't post the UWE announcement, DC's latest ranting, and their apparent reluctance to make any statement to refute fans concerns.

Uwe was a bad deal for owners who didn't want to spend any money and use it as an excuse to f**k off imo

Uwe was a bad deal for owners who didn't want to spend any money and use it as an excuse to f**k off imo Which is why they originally employed top people (who gave up on UWE) and spent 18 months trying to get a good deal? And if a good deal was on offer - then outside investors would have been interested - the Al-Qadi's would not have had to spend their own money In order for UWE to be a good deal for Bristol Rovers - retention of the money earnt from punters would be necessary. Without it the deal is a non-starter

How long will it be until fans start calling for the Al Qadis to leave? We the fans are being treated like Muppets now. I have lost almost all faith. If there is a lot going on, then they should pass on some updates. Some have been doudting them on social media for ages, whether this is part of a campaign to stir up unrest in the camp only they will know. Are we worse of under the Al Qadi family, in my opinion no. They have started to build an infrastructure thats for sure, is it all based on the charge against the stadium? The ITK crowd would have you believe that elements of the mob who were close to taking the club down the sh*tter, are the way forwards - based on what? Ride the storm, if it all goes Pete Tong then they can say I told you so If it doeasn't will they disappear again, who knows? The constant sniping of some have driven loyal members of this forum away, now that has pished me off. Three points tomorrow will deflect some of this sh*t for sure, a loss and it will be DC out. UTG Lose tomorrow and the atmosphere will be vile I fear. Not sure I've known such pressure on a mid November game before.

Possibly. Provided the driver is earning a good living and pays at least the minimum monthly repayment then the credit card company will be happy. They are getting their money at an acceptable rate and if the card starts to get close to the agreed limit then it is likely that the limit will be increased. In addition, other card companies will see that he is a good payer and want to offer him their cards too. Credit card companies don't like defaulters, but neither do they particularly like those who clear their cards each month. They get their money through people paying off some as they can then charge interest. Their ideal person is someone in a steady job who spends and then pays off gradually (but not wholly) while still spending. Turning back to us, if Swiss's interest theory is right, then Dwane will know many who would be interested in investing for a 6% return (as bankers they will have their clients and contacts). The difficulty is in the servicing of the interest and eventual capital repayment which for me us why the UWE fell through, the club/Dwane couldn't get UWE to agree commercial revenue terms (as Bidefordgas suggested in a previous post). That said, I am pretty poor at getting even football scores right so probably am here too. Sadly, for a banker this is pretty nonsensical. The credit card company is lending unsecured at high rates of interest (say 30%) because of the high risks involved. It spreads its risks by lending relatively small amounts to lots of people. It can risk lending unsecured because the high interest paid by good customers covers the relatively low number of defaulters. Dwane is lending secured (so virtually no risk unless the value of the Mem is misjudged). It is lending at what - 6%? The “increased limit” won’t happen unless they are genuinely prepared to accept some unsecured risk, ie going beyond their prudent lender status. That’s all they appear to be at the moment. It is unlikely to have many clients who will lend at 6% unsecured to a small loss making football club with a net worth of zilch!! I would agree with you up to a point. In my analogy I would see the investors having a wide portfolio of investments of which we would be but one. Elements of their other investments would equate to the "good customers". I would also think that investment wouldn't be in Bristol Rovers 1883 as an intangible football club which as you stated is not worth a great deal, but in the physical infrastructure of a stadium and training facility, hence the setting up of Dwane Colony rather than bringing the ownership under BRFC. If Rovers went out of business the property would still be there and have a value. That said, whilst it is an interesting debate, we (as far as I can tell) do not know their business plan so it is all conjecture anyway.

Wael has stated on tv that it is not a loan. As such why the interest charges ?
