This sums up the decision the Family have to make...just don't know which option it will be. If there is a consortium or other investor out there, which I doubt, then a sell-off is possible. Just hope Wael can convince Hani and his Dad to invest and take things forward. There is no other consortium waiting in the wings, and Wael would have outlined financial implications to the Family way before they shelled out the cash to buy us in the first place. When Al Quadis bought the club I think they honestly believed the UWE deal was possible but that proved not to be the case. The financial implications of owning a club with a new stadium and one which is now more or less obsolute if we we want to process means the investment they made to buy the club now look much less attractive. Result is Hani tightens the purse strings until he decides what to do. Until Hani and the family decide how they see the future of their investment then we are in limbo and developments in the pipeline will not progress.

Hugo, most of the negative posts here are because people are genuinely concerned about a club they love...sometimes you too seem to be concerned about the intensions/ lack of communications of the owners and sometimes you have a go at those who raise concerns based on the broken promises and lack of progress on promised development. Untill there is more clarity about the training ground and Mem developments and the owners break their wall of silence then I think this questioning of what's going on in the background will continue. I don't believe rumours about the mythical concortium but I think there is enough circumstantial evidence to suggest the owners have tightened the purse strings and projects are slowing down because of that. I just want to know what the owners plans are for the club in terms of developments and why things have stalled.

I just want to know what the owners plans are for the club in terms of developments and why things have stalled. I mostly agree but there are a few people here that I believe are deliberately posting negative things in order to destabilise the current owners. Unfortunately they are winning their little propaganda war and many genuine, concerned Gasheads like you and me are being fooled. Where is your circumstantial evidence? They have been spending money on the ground, they have given DC transfer funds, they have invested in the development squad, commercial director and they have given us a deadline to hold them to the colony development of February and they are improving the match day experience. I question the owners where appropriate as I think it's right the the custodians of our club should be accountable. And yeah, their communication is woeful. Henbury has shown how easy it is to post a negative story and you just have to look at it and see the usual suspects lap it up. Yeah, I get why Knowall picked up on the OP, many people will take this and run with it. Others have called it bollocks or even called Henbury a ted. Shame they can't do that with all the other similar threads of unfounded doom that's been peddled. Turning fan against fan is no way to go about taking control of a football club.

A poster a few months ago mentioned Hani and how he runs the money? You've delved into the in's and out's of the Al Qadi family finances and come to the conclusion they don't have any cash?
Wael bought the club because he wanted a Football Club. As is his will. A very successful man in his own right would have gone through all diligence to see whether it was a good proposal. Turns out, it was. He bought us. 14 months later we're questioning it?
Let's go back 14 months. Club was dying, Higgs wanted to sell, he sold. Have we gone backwards?

I guess it will be 1986 all over again. WAQ sells the stadium and a field at Alomondsbury to a developer and then some make shift cobbled together board, goes cap in hand back to Bath City, ******** ground-hog day. We start the following season in league 2. Where is WAQ and Hamer ?

Result is Hani tightens the purse strings until he decides what to do. Until Hani and the family decide how they see the future of their investment then we are in limbo and developments in the pipeline will not progress. And you know this how? The fact that Dwane Sports is owned by family interests and is not solely Wael's investment is in the public domain and has been reported several times as is Hani's chairmanship of that company. Wael does not have a controlling interest. You can check out the position from annual returns filed and other document filed in Jersey if you pay the appropriate fees. www.jerseyfsc.org/registry/documentSearch/NameDetail.aspx?Id=306465Given the ownership of Dwane Sports it activities and funding provided to the Club is not solely in Wael's hands. As to the tightening of the purse strings this seems apparent from the stalling of flagship projects which require substantial funding. It a truism to say that pipeline projects cannot progress until clear decisions are made about investment intensions. These may well be clear to the owners of Dwane Sports but from the DC interview it is clear they are not shared with club mangement.

I know you are a mod of this forum but I think you are giving far too much credit to it informing and changing the view of Rovers fans. It's quite clear come Saturday the vast majority in the ground won't give a damn about the concerns the likes of myself and others raise on here. Indeed the majority there in Saturday won't even read this forum. The situation is that in an information vacuum people will raise concerns those that have unflagging belief in Wael will try to shout them down without considering the question or scenario. Those who remain or have become sceptical of Wael and Co post their concerns because to often with Bristol Rovers we have learnt no news is bad news. Pick your side of the fence or get splinters.
