It’s baffling. He must know the rumours circulating but seems determined to press on stating his long-term commitment to the club. And I bet it’s publication, the day after DC went public, is no accident. On the one hand it’s exactly what is needed at the moment but he’s repeating stuff already said so he needs to unveil something new and something tangible and it’s got to be something to do with the ground or the training ground or even plans for the January window. I’m sure others will interpret differently but being an optimist I’m heartened by this. The guy looks as if he’s got ambitions to be part of the Asian/ Middle East football scene and were he to shaft us I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t go down well. He seems an honourable man, yes I know that sounds old fashioned, but I suspect honour is important to the family and they will want to be seen to do the right thing. For some reputation is everything. Time will tell but perhaps something good is about to be unveiled! I wish!! UTG!

I honestly think Wael's living in a world detached from reality, on the one hand we have DC saying yesterday we're years behind even Bury and Fleetwood on the other Wael now comparing us to Newcastle, and making references to Man C. If he seriously wanted a club at rock bottom why did he originally try and buy Gillingham, who seem a well run outfit. The Problem will the Gillingham deal Topper, is the Chairman at the time was happy to let the family have the club, but he wanted to stay on as chairman.....

I'm sorry but this is a re-hash of the same story that has been put out for the past 21 months.
To be kind, it's unwise to allow it to be put out again when the fans and manager are crying out for substantive news.
To be unkind, it's taking the p*ss.

Any club can reach the premier league look at Huddersfield Blackpool for example. How you do it and stay there is the question look at r friends down the road 150 million quid plus ? Still not there but here’s the but now got 27k stadium sadly my opinion got good chance this year and with stadium staying there! That s the key . Going to get some stick now!!! Hard hat ready lol 😂 Unfortunately I think you are right but ffs please let's not talk about it until it actually happens as this place is depressing enough these days.

Dunno but feel like i would give up if we ever reached the prem. Its everything that is wrong with football and the championship is heading that way as it is. Something must be wrong if you dont want your team to get to the very top

It's the same stuff he's been saying from the beginning really.
But at least he's still saying it.

Why bother interviewing wael though? Maybe get an about BRFC interview from hani? That would be much more interesting surely? I wonder at times if wael is just a dreamer.

emotionally tied! Please do me a favour, you didn't even know who we were 2 years ago! How long do you have to be going to a game to have an emotional tie to a club? I was hooked after my first game. How long were you watching Rovers before you cared about us? Same, one match. The Old fella used to take me to both from about 73 onwards, eventually I insisted on going shopping with Mum on City weeks. Rovers though, it hit me like a train. Missing a game was unthinkable, a bit like skipping Xmas.

I have a crazy idea Wael! Why don’t you actually communicate with the fans of the club you say you love so much! Seriously this is a WTF to me. Have you ever tried to communicate with Wael? - thought not - it works two ways you know. I've tried on twitter but never had a reply....

Having read the article , I have to agree with you. This is just what wael said from his early interviews , this has just been reworded.

The reason for the interview is obvious IMO. He is a fairy high up official in the Jordanian F.A who passionate hobby is a lowly English football club. Yes I do believe we are his hobby, an expensive one yes but still a hobby.

I thought the words 'billionaire' and 'Wael' in the same sentence would take some beating, but I think 'Rovers' and 'premiership' just knocked it out the park!

With all these threads on the same subject its getting difficult to spot the irony, spoof posts,in the know, rose tinted, underminers, and god knows what else from the earnest opinions. For me at least.

When you read the article, he says all the right things, with caveat he does not put a time on anything, and we know he has not put much money in the club, he talks about Leicester City, ffs, to do what the foxes have done requires £100M plus, we are scrambling around bringing in players from the bargain basement and cannot even compete with the Posh. WAQ is a really nice fella, but just does not get it, as others have said, start talking to the fans. UTG
