I think we might see a couple of the development squad involved tomorrow.Cameron Hargreaves and Kenan Dunwald maybe. The loan players are gradually being frozen out and like last season will all go back in January.Hope we don't just try to park the bus for the majority of the game,we need to be a threat ourselves or we will surely get beaten.

So my team going into the weekend would be:
433
Slocombe (GK) Brown (LB) Sweeney (CB) Lockyer (CB) Partington (RB) O. Clarke (CM) Lines (CM) Sercombe (CM) Gaffney (ST) Harrison (ST) Bodin (ST)
Have decided to go for Lockyer and Sweeney at the back because although it isn't ideal, I can't think of anything better at this point in time, lets hope they put in a performance similar to the ones at Fulham and Wolves, potentially having Brown and Partington beside them who are better defensively could help them out.
I am looking for a performance from Ollie Clarke this weekend as honestly his performances as of late have not merited a place on the starting eleven but having little competition and occasionally putting in a solid performance puts him ahead of Sinclair for me. I have noticed that when he does well, Rovers tend to put in a better performance in general and coming up against a team as good as Blackburn, he had better put a shift in.
The front three pick themselves for me tbh, Harrison has looked good this season especially on the road when things are going against us. Gaffney has also done well for us and is probably the second most likely to score goals after Bodin. Have obviously decided to include Billy back in the starting 11 now he is fit for contention, he can create bits of magic which is obviously a massive advantage for us, especially at a place like Blackburn when we will be considered underdogs, as results have shown recently, we can't afford for a player of his calibre not to be in the team.
A much better performance is sorely needed this saturday. Get a win here or even a solid point and confidence will go right back up and I believe results will improve. AFC Wimbledon came to Ewood a month ago and produced exactly the type of performance that we need for saturday. They kept it tight at the back despite Blackburn having the majority of the possession whilst looking dangerous on the counter attack and with a little luck managed to grab a 0-1 victory. This is exactly what we need to replicate however as our form shows, I'm not counting on it.

Sincs for Ollie Clarke other than that the same as you Axegas. Ollie needs to watch from the bench and find his mojo.

I wonder if DC thinks Lockyer is too good to drop because Chris Coleman knows football better than him?

Sincs for Ollie Clarke other than that the same as you Axegas. Ollie needs to watch from the bench and find his mojo. He certainly does need to regain his mojo, a shadow of the player that he was last year. I only went for him instead of Sinclair due to Saturdays performance where Sincs looked devoid of any quality whatsoever. Ollie Clarke does have it as shown last year but there are games where you barely notice that he is on the pitch. The first place I would strengthen in January imo.

BB had a slow start the season before last because he was carrying an injury which we didn’t know about. Any chance the same is true of OC, and given his history maybe, sub consciously, he can’t go all out like we know he can.

Think it's time to stick with the main back four that we finished with last season to see if they can regain the same form. I would put Sincs in front of them to provide additional defensive cover. I prefer Slocombe so would drop Smith. Harrison and Gaffney to get another go up front together which should provide a nice challenge for Blackburn's centre backs.
------------Slocombe----------
Leadbitter-Locks-Sweeney-Brown
-------------Sincs------------
Bodin-------Sercombe-----Lines
-------Harrison---Gaffney-----

Personally I'd try something different, in midfield and throw Russe in for his debut.

I appreciate our defense should rely on more than the keeper but that's quite poor imo.

Seen them both play plenty and I think Slocombe looks a better choice.

Probably not but I can only see an hammering as things stand, it seems DC has gone for 5 at the back which was a total disaster at Rochdale.

---------------Slocombe-------------
Partingto---menayesese---Sweeny---Brown
----------------Lockyer--------------
Leadbitter---Sercombe---Lines---bodin
----------------Harrison-------------
Lockyer to play a sweeper role in front of the back 4 and protect the area just outside our box.
I would expect at least one midfielders to join up and support Ellis.
