Mildenhall 6 Made one good save but looks increasingly hesitant on crosses Lockyer 5 His distribution is truly shocking Trotman 6 Steady game Parkes 6.5 Much better performance Brown 6 Looked solid Gosling 6.5 Looked great when taking on defenders also helped out Lockyer well and scored a goal Mansell 7 Brains and brawn Sinclair 6.5 Workmanlike Martin 8 Another great performance Taylor 8 Great performance and well taken goal Cunnington 5.5 Should have scored at least once with an array of missed chances
Subs: Harrison 6.5 Full of energy as usual Clarke 6 White 5

Mildenhall 5.5 Couple of good saves but looks a bit dodgy on crosses this season and should have collected or at least went for the corner when they scored. Still wouldn't swop Mildy for any other keeper at this level.
Lockyer 5.5 Defended pretty well but not really a full back and didn't give Gosling the supply that Martin received on the other side. His passing is the biggest problem but you cannot fault the effort that Tom puts in an unfamiliar position and he is still a very young man.
Trotman 6.5 A rock at the back and dangerous at corners. Definitely deserves a contract. When he heads a ball it goes distance which we have not really had since Elliot was around. Made some vital interceptions on the ground as well. A no nonsence defender with power.
Parkes 7 Good header for the goal and I feel that Tom is finally returning to form which is great especially as if Turley signs there is going to be more competition for places. Still makes the odd mistake that can cause problems and i think he should have been marking on the corner they scored from but won't hold that against him as I am not sure and it should have been Mildys ball anyway.
Brown 7.5 Excellent performance both defensively and going forward. Is really building up an understanding with Martin and some of their inter play is a joy to watch.
Gosling 6.5 Worked his socks off without the luxury of having a full back who can pass a ball behind him. Good goal and could and possibly should have had a hatrick. Confident on the ball if a little lightweight but certainly a good performance.
Mansell 8 An immense performance from the best captain for years. Great pass to Taylor for the goal and workrate is phenominal. I also think that he could weigh in with five or six goals this season because of his intelligent positioning.
Sinclair 6.5 Covers every inch of the pitch always pressurizing the opposition and rarely gives the ball away. Just feel that with two in midfield we do lack a bit of creativity as both him and Mansell are good at breaking down play.
Martin 8.5 For me he was joint MOM with Taylor. The first winger we have had since Carayol and a delight to watch .Not got the skills of Carayol but IMO a much better crosser of the ball and works his socks off. Brilliantly set up Gosling for his goal and I really hope we can sign him permanentally.
Cunnington 6.5 Should have come away with the Match ball. I felt he led the attack well but he will be disappointed not to have scored at least two but he is a handfull for the opponents and is another who I would very much like to see signed permanently
Taylor 8.5 Runs himself into the ground and is an intelligent player and thankfully has now scored. Lovely pass from Mansell and the way he took the chance really makes me think that he could score regularly.
Subs
Harrison 6.5 Again caused the opposition trouble when he came on and is really pressing for a start Clarke 6 Not really on the pitch long enough to assess but he did ok White Unable to mark as was only on the pitch about 3 minutes!!
DC 9 Proved himself yet again to be willing to change the team to suit the match and has a playing in a way that mostly is pleasing to the eye. What i like most is that we now have a SQUAD and selection problems for the first time in years.
To conclude if we can keep improving as we seem to be there is no reason at all why we can't be challenging for the automatic place BUT this is Bristol Rovers so let's wait and see!!!! For those that didn't attend - Get down the Mem saturday because these players give 100% and DESERVE support.

Mildenhall 5 Maybe could have come and claimed the corner that led to their goal. Largely untroubled for the rest of the game.
Lockyer 4 We all know he's not a natural right-back, but even so he looked shakier than normal. Didn't get forward enough and could have played out from the back more. Trotman 6 Not his best game, but assured nonetheless. Parkes 7 The goal, which was well-taken, gave him more confidence on the ball. A solid game from him. Brown 7.5 Great link up play with Martin again. Knows exactly what he needs to do defensively, and does it without fuss.
Gosling 7 Looked good on the ball, with a quick turn of pace. Like Monkhouse, he often cut inside but was more penetrative with his passing. Mansell 8 Ran around all game marshaling the middle of the park. Showed great vision and class to set up Taylor. Sinclair 6.5 Seemed to run around as much as Mansell but was less effective in what he did. Martin 8 Started the game on fire. Too tricky and fast for Nuneaton to deal with he pushed them backwards at every opportunity. Involved less in the second half but his set-pieces are a great asset.
Taylor 7 Really deserved his goal for his effort. Won aerial balls against Nuneaton's defenders and showed a great turn of pace, something several of our players did actually. Cunnington 6.5 Showed he's more than a target man with some good touches, especially when he kept the ball in play then set up Gosling for a chance. Will be disappointed that he didn't score at least one of his chances.
Subs: Harrison 6 Some nice touches and was involved in the third goal. His pace complements the counter-attacking quality of this team. Clarke 6 Not on long enough to make much of an impression. One well-timed tackle. White Don't think he touched the ball.
DC 9 Well put together team that attacking with pace. Didn't let the tempo drop after the early goal urging the team to keep going for Nuneaton. Also, it seems some work has been done on the training ground with set-pieces. This is the second home game in a row where DC has called for some special move at a set-piece. It doesn't always come off, but its refreshing that we're trying these things Ref 7 Got most of the calls right. Could have produced a card earlier for Nuneaton, as the number of tackled started stacking up, but the game never got away from him. Best I've seen this season. Nuneaton 2 They looked quite poor and failed to do some of the basics. The keeper and defence were jittery and they messed up several simple passes and throw-ins. No cohesion in the side, probably caused by the lack of a manager.

Mildy 6 competent Lockyer 6 primary job is defending which he did well, needs to pass better and combine with the right winger to earn higher marks Parkes 8 best defender on the night, a threat from set pieces (obviously ....having scored one) and passing from the back much improved Trotman 6 not up to his brilliant recent form but took a knock on more than one occasion which may well have blunted his effectiveness Brown 7 linking with Martin is a joy and does the simple things at the back well Gosling 7 got into some good positions and was unpredictable enough to flummox the hapless Nuneaton defence but one of a couple of Gas Attackers to squander the chance of a hat trick, scored with a calm slotted shot but leant back and blazed over his last chance and proved his one footedness by smacking the ball into the side netting when a right footed effort would have opened up the whole of the goal Mansell 8 exemplary "engine room" performance. Sinclair 7 first half he was everywhere and was winning his headers, second half faded and was missing his headers whilst still being a nuisance to Nuneaton Cunnington 7 yes he missed the opportunity to bag at least three goals, headed a beaut that the keeper made a great save from and also slapped a post with his last contribution to the game but he won endless headers and Taylor got on the end of most of them. Also worked tirelessly and ensured Nuneaton were on the back foot for large parts of the game Taylor 9 never stopped probing and exposed Nuneatons shortcomings time and again. Deserved his goal and his ovation Martin 8 set up the third, delivered the dead ball for the first and in between turned the Nuneaton right fullback inside out so many times he had his shorts on backwards by the end.
Harrison 7 frightened them to death when he came on Clarke 6 added some legs as the game wound down White did some good warming up ! Not sure if he touched the ball in his three minutes on the pitch
DC 9 he may have tinkered with a winning team but what tinkering!! Ref 7 think he only annoyed me a couple of times which makes him good in this league! Nuneaton 4 some spirit but a definite skill gap Gasheads 9 supportive all night - the early goal helped of course but were appreciative of the efforts of the blue and white protagonists throughout
