Dave Martin took some flack earlier on in the season, was involved with two of the goals tonight and generally worked hard, whats your opinion?

He was great tonight and has really grown as he's gotten games under his belt. Very pleased with his performances.

He was superb today. Gave them no end of problems down the left. Been really impressed with the bloke.

Don't really understand how he got stick in the first place. Was excellent tonight and adds genuine set piece quality, best delivery from corners we've had for years.

Completely a class above the Nuneaton defenders who were worried every time he got the ball. He adds some direct pace into the team. Second home game in a row we've scored from one of his corners as well. Sign him up as soon as we can, I say.

Only gripe with him is he gets into some really decent positions and just needs to be a bit more selfish and put his foot through the ball. He could easily get 6 or 7 this season if he does this.

Another good performance from him. His pace and direct running was causing problems all night and his distribution has improved so much. Lost out on MOM to Taylor but only just in my book.

It's nice to finally have a pacey left footer on the left wing. He takes his man on, has a good cross on him and pops up in a few goal scoring positions as well as doing his defensive duties. Probably the best set piece taker we've had in the last few years too.

its not just about his pace though as there were 3 seperate incidents this evening when he didnt just smash the ball in but took time to spot the run of players coming through. Better marksmanship would have given him 3 assists instead of just the 1

The entire crowd was screaming for him to shoot before the third goal, but to be fair to him, he laid Gosling on beautifully. If that happens every time then there's no need to shoot, but you are right, he could bag a few this season.

Shame Balanta isn't a right winger, because we would have some real quality on each side.

martins a very talented footballer and his corners are a joy to watch,he is sometimes prone to fade in games but then dc promptly hauls him off,,, im already worried about him and adam cunningtons loan running out in january!
