Nothing new there really, mostly just stuff Hamer had to say the other week. Interesting that the club is to have a new shop but WAQ sounded very non commitall regarding the stadium or DC's budget. Good that wael recognises the need for better communication with the fans.

Good that Wael recognises that as fans, we’d like more communication. I genuinely think he wants what is best for this club but doesn’t have his family support.
However all I took from that interview is.... talks are ongoing (as always), there’s no firm dates or plans and that comment at the end that ‘he’ would be around for the long run... does that indicate that others (the family) aren’t planning to be?!!!

At least he apologised to fans re communication all going to take time like he’s said before . I think it’s fairly simple fellow gasheads you either believe him or you don’t UTG!!

Do feel for Wael, though.
Clearly he's in it and really wants to progress the club but the rest of the family not as keen.
He seems very down beat in this interview.

I do believe wael has the interest of the club in hìs heart. It clear to see though it could be another 10 years before we have a club really set up to chellenge for the championship. Glad he acknowledged the lack of communication though

Projects are scaled down, he says "yes we're here for the long haul", but then emphasises on "I'm here for the long haul".

Can't believe we've got the bloke apologising for not watering his own money away on our club quick enough to satisfy some people.

Interesting timing- seems clear that certain people have been reading this board and recognised the need for a Q&A and that was a good start.
I am cynical of the decision to keep it in house- ie not on radio bristol with GT and ad-hoc calls but to be fair Keith Brookman surprised me by probing for details at every turn. Ultimately though there were a lot of politician's answers, work starting on the mem at the end of the season...but after digging deeper it is just giving the bars a lick of paint.
The only way we are going to find out exactly where the club is and where it is going is through an interview with Hani. Wael seems to have about as much influence in the future direction of Bristol Rovers as Hamer does.

It’ll be telling if the new shop is a proper construction or another shipping crate.
Given lack of planning permission so far it points at the latter.
You wouldn’t build a proper club shop if you were planing on flattering it 24 months later.

What do people expect to hear? I'ts been said many times that things will go slow because Wael is building the club again from scratch. He said from day 1 in his 1st ever interview that he wont be throwing money around and that we have to be self sustainable. Evolution not revolution. Clearly he knows the training ground and stadium is a priority but its its all still at the planning stage. Its not something that will be done within a few weeks or months. Obviously he is here to stay. So lets get off his back and let him get on with it.

The news is there is no news!
Unless you didn't understand everything takes time, but no timescales on anything.
Nothing to see here. Let's move on. Together..

Couldn't agree more as it's not like the ALQ's were ever in talks with the UWE to spend £30/40m building a new stadium.....

Quite honestly if that's all Wael has to say he might as well not bother. There was not one insightful comment in the whole interview. I cannot believe he thinks that's acceptable. Surely he should know how long, roughly, it will take to progress matters. I'm sure he won't be giving the consultants a blank cheque! Simply appalling.

Pointless interview where he has said nothing and dampened spirits ahead of the game! Jog on whale!!! Tell us something or just don’t bother. The clarified “I” rather than “we” will be here long term said it all! We need new finance or nothing will change end of!

Thank heavens, at last, for that. Wael is a nice and kind man and his interview was reassuring and positive. He's in it for the long haul. At least there'll be a proper pot to water in next year. Onward and upwards!
