Just realising there are those who attend and a butch of tossers that wince at home. Always felt those diehard rovers fans didnay do forum opinionating! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ok the crowd was good and could be better, think that's the gist of it. But there's not really a need to insult fellow supporters is there, everyone supports differently. No need for that imo. UTG

Anything below 6,000 is poor for me, regardless of division. Where do the fans go? We're playing better now than last season and yet the numbers drop. Below 5,000 for a midweek is pretty poor, but what can you do? Honestly.... Make CONFERENCE football affordable. More quid a kid etc. I know when the chips were down they offered it... Since the upturn, nothing! NOW is the time to get the kids hooked! UTG

Below 5,000 for a midweek is pretty poor, but what can you do? Sat at home listening to the radio, watching the Champs league/boxing re run, while sipping a can of Blackthorn. I am £30 better off and am just as happy with the result. If it had been a defeat, I would have been less annoyed sitting at home. win/lose/win/win. But if we all did that there would be no Rovers matches to listen when we're sat at home??

Evening games on a school night are impossible for me 9 times out of 10.
We play too many home games midweek.

If the club took the plunge and did Quid a Kid for Saturday, we could get an excellent crowd. Get the youngsters through the gates now we are playing well, and scoring goals - that's the way to get them hooked.

Now is the time to strike - Hell, I'd bring the mob on Sat if it was Quid a kid again! I'm just not in a position to spend the £60 quid it cost for us all to get in.... Sod it - I'm gonna tweet the club now and see what they say! Wish me luck

Last year I emailed work colleagues inviting them to join the fun; one of them is now a regular at the Mem. Two more came with me to the Wrexham game and are both up for future home games. At this rate I think I get us another 50+ over the next 25 years ... every little helps!

An article in the programme last night mentioned that of the nine years we've been in league 2, the season with the lowest attendance was actually our promotion season and that actually there's not much correlation between success and attendances.

Maybe not, but I'd wager that there is some correlation between a young 'un watching a winning team a few times, and becoming a fan for life. Somebody at the club needs to have half an eye on the future fanbase.

Take a look at the fans comments under a DC interview on the Rovers Facebook page and you will find some less than positive responses.

Club have responded to Tweet re. Kid a Quid on Saturday:-
".... not this weekend, but we will have more deals soon, including an offer for season ticket holders."

"@nonleaguecrowd: Step 1 #Conference Bristol Rovers crowd of 4861 was bigger than 10 crowds in League 2 and 7 crowds in League 1"
When you look at it in that sense it's still pretty decent. Expected to hit 5000 but not going to complain about it. Reckon we'll get 6k on Sat.

Last night was first home I've missed for 3 years as I'm on holiday but that makes me no better than someone who would have loved to have gone to all those games but couldn't afford it or take time off work etc.

4800 is not a bad crowd for mid table conference team if we keep improving so will the crowds, but if we don't I can see the crowds falling below 4000 on cold days and nights.
