The advertising does work, I mean, if ever I needed some electro-pneumatic components, you'd be first on my list i also advertise with the club in a small way, do you need any computer support ? Top notch support it is too.

Rushden and Diamonds are doing well. Torquay built a new stand things are going swimmingly there they are soon to become a giant of a club...in conference south. Kidderminster Harriers managed to combine building new stands with dropping to conference north. Wrexham built a nice stand alongside the main road and have spent most of the time since in non league. Tranmere rovers rebuilt stands . Chesterfield built a new stadium. Barnet have shiny new stands . Colchester united moved to a new stadium in their championship days. Leyton orient rebuilt much of Brisbane road things are rosy there. Not sure when Chester moved to the "new" stadium but not gone well for them they used to be called Chester city. Hartlepool rebuilt stands. Halifax town started building a stand...now they have to be called Halifax. Macclesfield built a new stand when in the league.
I would say most if not all clubs that have been in the football league over the last 20 years have rebuilt part of their grounds. Bristol Rovers built two new stands out of canvas and scaffold poles.
When you were half way through typing that list didn't you think to yourself "these are all clubs with small fan bases, not sure I should be wasting my time with this list"? Clubs similar to our fan base all appear to be doing OK after investing in their new grounds, Swansea, Reading, the 82ers, Brighton, the latter having just paid a record £14m transfer fee! There's only really Coventry who've gone backwards after building a new stadium. Although didn't Wael say in his first press interview a new ground was a priority so it seems he agrees, he just needs to come up with a design for the Mem and the finance to build it, although the latter seems to have been the issue for decades. I was thinking of teams Rovers had played a few times over that period of time. Fanbase has little to do with gaining success. Else Portsmouth wouldn't have been in league 2 whilst Bournemouth were in the Premier league. Or Brfc wouldn't have been in the championship in the early 90s with 6000 crowds. Luton town made their stadium all seater ,Notts county , Portsmouth , Swindon , Plymouth , Walsall , Southend
Shall we mention MK Dons ? lovely stadium (?) same size crowds as Rovers not doing any better though.
Swansea and Reading have had traditionally smaller crowds than Rovers ,BCFC more . Brighton is the most comparable. That's a big population with no competition though.
Derby county were a premier league team when they moved to pride park. Middlesborough were premier league when they moved to the riverside. Leeds were premier league when the went all seater. Stockport county were championship when they went all seater. Its a close call at the bottom of the championship but Sunderland could come down in their purpose built stadium . Or Hull city could come down who started in league one with a new stadium. A new stadium or a rebuild or a revamp is nice but it doesn't guarantee anything. The club mostly needs to be run well. It needs good managers. It needs good fortune.

Good post. The meaning of investment, the act of putting money, effort, time etc into something to make a profit or get an advantage or the money, effort, time etc used to do this. But don't you have to own something first to put investment in? No. extract from the Financial Bible Investopedia The term "investment" can be used to refer to any mechanism used for the purpose of generating future income. In the financial sense, this includes the purchase of bonds, stocks or real estate property. Additionally, the constructed building or other facility used to produce goods can be seen as an investment. The production of goods required to produce other goods may also be seen as investing.

Why is anyone still posting on this redundant and pointless thread?
I certainly wouldn't.

Why is anyone still posting on this redundant and pointless thread? I certainly wouldn't. It's important to clarify what an investment is according to the Oxford Webster dictionary. Of course.

I can see we really needed you in charge to make them happen as they were all deliverable according to you. Personally, I couldn't make them deliverable myself but am happy to lend my support rather than rubbish everyone else's efforts until they fail And what support is this that makes you “knowall”? Because you are so close to every board that’s ever been aren’t you? The person who insisted that the ex directors hadn’t been paid only for me to ask every one of them and to be told the ALQs paid them on signature?
You couldn’t help deliver a project because whatever “support” you do say you leant the board couldn’t be backed up with finance, contacts or be allied to anyone useful to make it happen. Clearly. So what were you doing? Or is it just fantasy on your part? There is no evidence to support you being as close as you say you are. So it irks me a little that you have such a high and mighty attitude towards a few on here. Yes I am hard on the ALQs because I’m die hard gas, I want my club to move forward and I’ve put a lot into the club this past 3 years financially myself as well as my season tickets. I want that to be worth something going forward, not to me, but to the club. Same as everyone else who puts their hand in their pockets to do their bit, in whatever capacity that is, not just to be sapped lingering in a dilapidated ground with mid table being considered a good season, with a chairman that is full of empty promises. Just picked this up and think I should correct the record. I think it was Gascinder who was adamant that the ex-directors had not been paid and I corrected him many times. I knew that all directors had been paid at the time of take-over except BB and NH who were paid most but not all. Some monies were kept back (which is not unusual in take-overs) for instance for performance issues and this is verified in the last Accounts.
