Just love the positivity richhertford, I don't think we'll get stung by Woking, I also don't think we'll lose more than 1 or 2 games at most at home this season and the mem will become a proper fortress where teams really fear coming.
I am really looking forward to going Saturday, something that has been sadly lacking over the last few years where I became very disillusioned with it all, I know one swallow doesn't make a summer and all that and there's a hell of a log way to go but it's good to have a team that I want to go and see again.

Big warning: I've looked at Woking squad and there are a lot of very familiar names there. Some good ex-Football League names, some old Salisbury players that were signed by DC when he was there, our old friend Kevin Betsey, former Plymouth keeper Jake Cole and Dean Morgan up front. They also have a manager who has been in non-league for 33 years and has a number of league scalps under his belt in the FA Cup. They hardly sound like a team who will come to Bristol Rovers full of trepidation. A very hard fixture coming up I think. We will have to be at our very best to beat them.

Just wondering if all our good spirit will be broken on Saturday, this lot look a different proposition altogether and we all of a sudden have a winning run to protect and increase upon, thoughts! On another note did anyone feel the difference in the crowd last night? It was good to attend a game where you were not dreading the first mistake to be made and the poisonous atmosphere to prevail, it felt almost inevitable that we would win the game at some point! I suppose the early goal helped Oh and a little bird tells me Mr Bloggs is attending for some jollities soon, roll out the barrel, watch this space early goal always helps, and this was the first time for a VERY long time where we really were playing a poor team. It did remind me of a few times in the past when we were a league team playing a non-League team (e.g. Corby a few years ago in the FA Cup). The gap was culpable and I just couldn;t see us losing that game at any point or for any reason. Good atmosphere. we can really still generate a lot of noise even with only 5,000. I guess a lot of hardcorers will still be there at games like these so probably won;t be much noisier with a few hundred or even thousand more.

I get what you're saying but look at FGR, they've got more than a few familiar big names, but were 2nd best against us pretty much all game, and that was before we started looking as convincing as we're starting to, also when we signed Salisbury players who were apparently their best they were judged to be not good enough for us so what are we to expect from the ones we didn't take, and on the other side of the coin the manager might've been in non league for 33 years because he's not good enough. I do agree with you that they won't be coming to us in fear like maybe a Nuneaton would but still don't think they'll be used to playing in front of 6000+ home fans, a tough game yes but still one I still think we're more than good enough to win.

I've been following the Cards for 20 years. This is a weird one for me, as we are both in the same division now.Watched all the footage from last season and this........make no mistake they are a very good team who play great football, and improving as well. They will be coming for the win. We can measure our our progress on Saturday. Should be an absolute cracker........please enjoy.

It's such a fine line to tread. Now there's a bit of confidence throughout the club it could go 2 ways. We could go a goal down but the crowd gets louder and we turn it around, or we go a goal down and the moaning and booing starts, leading to a very quick loss of confidence. No matter who we've played I never expect us to win as I know it would come back to bite me on the ass.

So when we win on Saturday it will be another great result. A very hard fixture I don't doubt. A win for us will increase the belief of everyone around the club. Can we cope with success? Can we cope with a winning attitude around the club. Not nervous at all. I, as always, have every confidence in Saturday and our future prospects.
